( Posted Image) Call it Kolchak: The Night Stalker, The College Years or Buffy the Vampire Slayer for Boys, but the horror series Supernatural delivers some of the most satisfying small-screen scares in recent memory. The premise is deceptively simple: brothers Sam and Dean travel the darker corners of the American landscape in search of their father, who's gone missing while hunting the malevolent forces that lead to the death of their mother. In the course of their search, the siblings encounter a host of otherworldly creatures, including vampires, ghosts, and witches, as well as such distinctly American phenomena as the urban-legend favorite the Hook ("Hookman"), monsters from Native American mythology ("Wendigo"), and fearful figures from children's games ("Bloody Mary"). Supernatural 's integration of elements from American pop culture and folklore, combined with its skilled cast and crew (creator/co-writer Erik Kripke delivered 2005's Boogeyman , while director/executive producer David Nutter is a veteran of The X-Files and Millennium ), and better-than-average attempts at atmosphere and suspense place the series well above the other spookshow programs that arrived on networks at about the same time (Invasion, Night Stalker ), and should hold considerable appeal for fans of frightful fare......................................................................................... Alright. Here it is. Our official SPN thread. No longer will we have to torture our other members(as infrequently as we all visit) with our nonsensical ramblings about clearly the greatest show ever to combine pop culture, classic rock, muscle cars, hot guys and American supernatural folklore- I suppose the acting is okay too. To encourage discussion some questions: How do you want the series to end? What is your favorite episode(s)? why? Pop culture reference? Music in episodes past, current and future? i.e. I'd like to hear more Led Zeppelin in future episodes What supernatural situation/ folklore would you like/have liked to see the boys take on (I doubt there'll be time now that Ol' Lu is comin')? Favorite characters(main or minor, good guy or bad)? What characters would you like to see come back? What characters would you like to see go?(or would have liked to see go away in earlier episodes before they were actually disposed of?) i.e. Ruby. Also: share some art you like or chance a fic or two. Now, let us have at it.

As reference to the music, I was sorely disappointed that in the episode entitled When the Levee Breaks they did not once play that song... and it's one of my favourites of Led. *growls* Or did I miss it?
Seriously, if I could film it, I have a idea for a Supernatural music video for the song... picture at the beginning a desert landscape, storm clouds just barely over of the looming mountains in the horizon, dark and forboding shapes against the brillant, blinding blue sky. Sand blowing, unyielding. A sexy woman, trudging thorough the bursts of sand to the beat, apparently lost. Then the lyrics start: near pitch and torrential downpours.
... well, something like that... it later involves the brothers, the Impala, and demon slaying... *shrugs* Half-baked, I know...
