“Strong?” He asked with a laugh. “Trust me, I couldn’t beat a kitten in an arm wrestle right now. But give me a week and I’ll terrorise them,” smiled the half-elf. “A shampoo, a bath, a shave, a week's sleep and a damn good glass of malt whisky. In fact, screw the glass, a whole damn bottle.” He looked into her eyes and sighed. “Still, I’m sure Kirinovinastovovia or whatever will at least have beds.” |

Cuilanie chuckled, and shook her head. "Thanks, Carynsa, but I don't think I'll get the hang of it. If Erufailon couldn't teach me in the years I spent with him... Maybe I am just not cut out for using that tool." |

Cary laughed. "The offer stands if you ever change your mind. However, I'm going to insist that Klen at least try." She turned to her new apprentice. "You will be fine." |

Posting for Cas Francis watched the rogue as she went about her work. He was intrigued by her skill with traps; there was no question about that. He was also wondering about the dichotomy in her character. He’d met many women who looked innocent, but it was a well-formed persona to masquerade behind. Lyka’s naivete was genuine from what he could make out and it puzzled him as to whether she was that good an actress. Ah well, time will tell and all that. “So have you had any thoughts about what you’ll want to do once we leave Vorostokov?” he asked. |

Klen was relieved that meditation did not seem some form of strange ritual or inappropriate act but then a sudden very bad thought came in his head and he asked in a concerned voice, "Uh not like Pietro's way to relax, right?" Klen looked a bit strange at the idea of nature needing protection. "Uh can't nature take care of itself? I mean I remember that back in Darkon that most of the forest and things were very dangerous. We always needed to keep fires in the raiders' camp to fend off predators and other strange creatures." |

"No, Klen. Nothing like that. It's breathing exercises more than anything, some trancework." Cary explained. She became silent, her thoughts straying once more, reminding her that she was alone now among friends. "Klen, keep an eye on the stew. Add these things to it." She handed him some herbs. "I am going to try to make a sleeping draught." She pulled out other herbs, a cup and a small jar, and set to work. |

Molly smiled back to see his good humour restored. “I’ll keep them at bay till then.” She grinned at Pietro's misnaming of Kirinova and kissed him lightly. “They certainly will. But till then do you want to share quarters once more?” she asked. |

Cuilanie chuckled. "Not in Faerûn. Some forests are dangerous, but quite a few of them are in danger from people. I'm surprised it is that different here. What are the dangers here?" |

"Ok then, I'll try my best,"he said. Though his suspiciousness was still not completely resolved, he trusted and respected her too much then to object. Besides he was much more afraid of angering, disappointing, or saddening her. "Well in Darkon there were predators like wolves, bears and other animals like that plus many strange and magical monsters that made the forest and wilderness there home. "Uhm is hunting for food allowed then? In my travels I often had to kill a rabbit or such for food so I hope I did nothing to hurt what you protect. I know how important protecting things can be." |

He looked at her with a weak smile. “As long as all you have planned for my weak and feeble body is sleeping. I don’t think I could take more than that right now,” laughed Pietro as he contemplated his difficulty in getting into the sled. |

Molly laughed. “Poor old man, I’ve worn you out, have I? I think the good captain would have my hide if he thought I’d even dream of anything more. But while keeping you warm is important, I’m sure we both will be happy with sleep.” She doubted either of them would get much either but there was no need to bring that up. Leaving him alone at a time like this wasn’t an option in her mind. “But no more talk of sleep for now; time for me to help the others to set up camp.” She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and opened the sleigh door. Once outside, she offered him her arm, then helped to walk him to the campfire where the spellcasters were gathered. She smiled at the trio as she helped the investigator to sit then wrapped him in the furs which had been in the sleigh. “I’ll get to work on the lean-to’s” She marched towards the axe and soon the sounds of chopping rang out in the night. |

Cuilanie nodded. "I hunt for food myself. But I am careful not to take any more than necessary. So that's not a problem. It's the hunters that take more than they need that upset me." She chuckled. "We have wolves, bears and other dangerous things in our forests too but we live with them." |

"Tell you what, Klen. We will try it. If it doesn't work, we will try something else to help you focus. Meditation is not the be all end all," she said. She mixed the herbs together, smelling the mixture every once in a while. "I can tell what I'm using and what I've mixed by scent," she said to Klen. "You will have to learn to identify these as well but that will come later." She continued mixing until she seemed satisfied, then added a bit of water to it slowly, mixing it into a liquid. When that was done she put a bit of another herb in and mixed again. She put the liquid into two bottles and smiled to herself. She would give this to Molly and Pietro after dinner. |

“If you can leave a man like this then you should be a ‘seamstress’ rather than a paladin. You’d rake in the money,” he said as he painfully followed her towards where the others were seated. He took a seat next to Cary and smiled at those gathered around. “It’s fair to say that reports of my death were greatly overstated,” said the green-eyed man with a smile before dissolving into a rather ripe coughing fit. “But clearly only just.” |
