I've heard several people say that CVX had the best storyline of any RE game...now...since the fourth one has come out, of course, as most all of you know, it's pretty much revolutionized RE and the way it's played and all that, and it also has a kick ass storyline, so, what I'm wondering is.......How many of you think CVX has a better storyline than RE4? And who thinks RE4's storyline is better??

So yeah, which is better, haha >_<! I haven't actually played CVX but I know what happens in it pretty much hehe o.o So yeah put your thoughts here haha

Code Veronica X, had quite an intensive Storyline... But I think that Resident Evil 4 had a far MORE intensive storyline. I was very impressed. Not to mention that Resident Evil 4 is actually even longer than Code Veronica X, and Code Veronica X was the longest. But, that's just my opinion... any others?

Well, I hardley played X. I played the original Code: Veronica though. I can barely remember those days.. but I'd say I like RE4's story better.

I haven't really played RE4 yet. I only played the beginning of it at a friends house. I do like Code Veronica's story line. I think it was the only game so far where the characters actually showed some emotion. It also showed how crazy the Umbrella company can be. (Alfred and Alexia) It just seems as though there is a love/hate relationship with this game among fans.

Oh, I love Code Veronica. The two storylines are just very... extensive. Although, I think Code Veronica's is a bit deeper. And as for characters showing emotion, they showed A LOT of emotion in Resident Evil 4. >_<! Just not Mr. Leon-I'm-a-die-hard-optimist-who-always-looks-on-the-bright-side Kennedy. o_o

I thought that CVX was great. The whole Ashfords vs. Redfields thing. Steve. The different locations. The rivalry between Wesker and Chris.

I also thought that RE4 was great. It feels like it just ran with the concepts of CVX and improved everything. I think that Capcom realized that people like the enemy to be a specific person or thing... Like Wesker, or like Saddler, or Krauser... rather than a corporation. Although I believe Ms. Damsel in Distress Ashley kind of set females back about a century... (I actually liked her quite a bit, I just don't like it when characters are completely helpless and just stand around, not helping. You know. Unless they're little kids.) Leon and Ada running into each other again... I can't wait to see what they do with RE5.

See, I'd heard a rumor before Resident Evil 4 came out that Wesker was gonna be in it, and I was all scared, because I've always thought that Chris is stronger than Leon, and buffer than Leon, for whatever reason. So I was like "Wait.... Leon has to fight Wesker? Man, he's screwed..." But no... which I thought was GOOD, I've seen the ending of CVX now, and see, before I couldn't hear it on my TV, but a friend sent it to me so I have it on the computer... and now, I just can't see Wesker really HATING anyone but Chris. He and Chris have a real rivalry thing going, so I'm almost kinda hoping that they'll bring them both back into Resident Evil 5, and maybe let Jill FINALLY find Chris >_< Poor thing's been looking for him since 3 hehehehehehehehehehe

I liked the storyline to CV:X - Alfred is a hilarious character. And Wesker was kicking some serious arse with those contacts... Wait... not contacts... aaargh! *is brutally killed*

Jokes aside, I found the storyline pretty good, especially the Alfred / Alexia discovery. And poor young Steven...

There's no best in the RE games taking in mind that they are all the same storyline.
But I must choose one of the two, I'd say RE4. Opened a new chapter in what is Resident Evil, thus making you wonder far beyond what you had wondered before.

When I say story, I'm referring to the amount of cutscenes... and storyline, and I'm sorry, but Resident Evil 2, just didn't have a very in-depth storyline, it was basically "Hey everyone I'm a rookie cop, and I'm Chris's sister, and together we must battle through this Zombie infested City, while avoiding MR. X. William Birkin, and all the other Monsters, and save this little girl, and OH CRAP! Brian Irons is evil! Oh my! Ben got killed... well, that sucks. Holy CRAP! there's a hot chick here who keeps showing up and disappearing, strange, but I still feel myself falling for her. Oh hey Annette, WOAH! Don't point that gun at me! Oh, good, her husband knocked her off. Wee, let's get on the train! Claire, there's a problem.... William Birkin apparently doesn't die. That's okay Leon, we have a 12 year old who will magically save the day, even though all this time we've had to protect her frightened little girl self... Yay! we won! No, not yet, I must find my brother, who I strangely am more interested in finding than I am in putting the moves on the young attractive Rookie Cop I just met... " And there you have it... Whereas... in Code Veronica, there were MANY storylines... Whereas here is the storyline of Code: Veronica "Hey there, it's me Claire again, only this time I don't have CRAPPY WEAPONS! WTF!? AHHHHH ZOMBIES! GOD! Why are people always shooting at me? WTF it's a kid... hello kid, HEY! Don't leave me here jackass! Must... find... eagle...plate... Who the HELL put a metal detector here? Okay fine... whatever... AHA! Finally out of that hellhole... Oh great... some gay guy in a suit wants to shoot at me.... Getting very annoyed here... Runny runny run run, CRAP! well if you mean by scenes i would have to say either Resident Evil 4 or 3 because they had my fav. scenes in all the games

Story isn't just scenes, Story is story. RPG games usually have the most extensive Storyline, but Code: Veronica was the first Resident Evil game to have a really DEEP storyline, and a very extensive one as well. The only reason I'd say maybe Code: Veronica had a better storyline, is because several of the characters change throughout the game and become better people. Look at Steve. Steve is the first Resident Evil character I saw that didn't remain basically the same throughout the entire game he was in. The only other Resident Evil character I've seen do that is Billy Coen, in Resident Evil Zero, one of the reasons I love that game. And yes, I did say a mouthful, I do that quite often. I'm not sure which game I think has a better storyline of Code:Veronica or 4, but I do know that in my opinion, one of them holds it.
