Well, Jerry Yan won 4th place...and the most lovable male star is Fukuyama Masaharu. TK is second.
I wouldn't exactly call Jerry Yan the Most lovable male star in Asia.
But TK beat the other superstar Kimura...well, some say his carreer is on decline anyway.


And Jerry Yang...this is what I have read a few days ago:

I would call that "invading Japan"...but NEXT mag/apple daily is a Taiwanese mag and of course they are very proud. And since the Golden Horse jury found out that TK is actually no Taiwanese...well...and apparently no Japanese either...please read this:

Seems to have been two seperate surveys on "best Japanese male artist" and "best Asian male actor". Bit confusing, at least for me.
Maybe I should check TK's position in that other CREA survey...if it is available somewhere.

Oh my, but wouldn't it be pretty cool to see TK in another Hollywood movie?! That's be crazy!!! But again, I totally understand his worries about being typecast into certain roles etc. -sigh- <_<

I'm trying to be as unbiased as possible but Takeshi is far more good-looking and photogenic fr :hellotk !!

I've heard of him because he starred in the Taiwanese version (called 'Meteor Garden) of the Japanese drama 'Hana Yori Dango' (I preferred the original Japanese version and the Korean one 'Boys Over Flowers' that was screened earlier this year). 'Meteor Garden' also starred Barbie Xu (whom I've read somewhere in this forum has a crush on Takeshi) and Vic Chou (whom I find more handsome than Jerry Yan but whose acting skills are not as good) I believe this Vic Chou is the one who aspire to look as good as TK because of Barbie's crush on him

I'm so glad that Takeshi is not only a good actor but a very good-looking one too. tuzki33 Great combination!




Sorry gals, just read my own earlier comment and realised that in my haste to add in my 2 cents worth about Jerry Yan and TK, I seemed to be implying that TK acted in 'Meteor Garden'. Sorry, it's Jerry Yan who'd acted in that TV drama. :blink:

Since Jerry came in only 4th, it doesn't really matter in comparison.
The category is not really 'lovable', but as a poll of your favourite, 'who do you like' in Asia. I guess there is a different one of Japanese stars and Asian male stars -non Japanese --> Actually who came in 1st in that category? The news was only on Jerry's 4th place...

Jerry is really popular in Taiwan through the F4 mania, and somehow Taiwan F4 is really quite popular in Japan (I read about their sold out concerts and F4 exhibitions costing lots of $$ ..and realized that was in Japan). In the F4 (if you had to pick one), I probably like Vic's image/looks over Jerry. Vic and Barbie Hsu dated a while ago, but I haven't heard of the Vic having Takeshi aspirations (maybe in career..?).

Ah, so, no nominations...(miki, you mean K-20), oh well, no comment then.

Takeshi-san, take a flight to Hong Kong before you go home to Tokyo or Taipei this month.

Fulong says that, although TK really would like to come, he will be actually working at that time. One of his commercial deals has been renewed. Since he'll be working with a team of foreigners, the location won't be in Asia.
He will try his best to make it but the it's not very likely.

Ah well, at least he's working! Any guesses at to which commercial deal was renewed? Biotherm Homme, perhaps? Armani? A car company? I hope it involves both commercials and print advertising, whatever it is. :ipray:
