Introduction

I. So you think your special because you have something that you think is unique, such as a lip piercing? Well guess what? Your as unique as the other half-million with lip piercings. It drives me crazy to know that people believe they’re really cool and special for stupid reasons.
II. People only hurt themselves when they pretend

Body

I. People think they stand out because of the stupid things people deem as “cool”. They do stand out. They stand out as the people with no minds of their own.

A. People who follow what others think as cool doesn’t show that they know whats cool and what isn’t. It simply shows they cannot think for themselves.
B. Also, they think that they “stand out” when they do stupid stuff like drugs or go all gothic. Well guess what? Sixty-eight million other people do it, why the heck do you think your special?

II. There are also dangers in doing the things people consider “cool”.


A. Taking marijuana and other illegal (and legal) drugs are serious risks to ending your life prematurely. When someone takes a drug because they think that they are cool because of it, there’s no going back. They no longer do it for the coolness, but because they are hopelessly addicted.
B. People go gothic in thoughts that others will deem them as individual and cool if they do. Most people I know just deem them as people with issues that need an appointment to they’re local physiatrist, which really hurts their social status.
