Is it a good idea or not? It will be the first vine this forum administration has to offer. There will be 5 MK and 5 DS shows on it. Also there will be a start up package for all. Interested?

If this vine takes off and you guys are interested this vine will be dedicated to Flame-Sky Diver our moderator.

What's the start-up package?

1. An e-flyer with information on how to handle .shn and .flac files. And a little information on how vines, trading, weeding, B&P etc. work.
2. A few RoIOs to get you started for trading if you're ever interested.
3. The RoIOs in the start up package will not necassarily be Dire Straits or Mark Knopfler related. They can be Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Genesis, Led Zeppelin etc.

Fantastic idea, Ridan. Although I think this vine should be dedicated to Faith as well :angry: You owe it to her for turning you into a DS/MK fan in the first place :lol:

On a more serious note, I think it's a grand idea.

The start package with other groups is dangerous-it can attract the fans of other group here, the people who don't have an interest at Mark and Dire Straits.

Slavi, you're right. But as far as I know Ridan intended this vine to be just for us, the dedicated bunch of this forum :winking: It will attract more members to want to become regular posters here.

Better way to attract a new members is to advertise this forum on The Telegraph Road mailing list-you can do it most frequently. All good MK/DS fans are there. :winking:

Well it's obviously a great idea, but I'm not the one this should be dedicated to. Let's dedicate it to Mark for providing us with all this great music.

The starting package is a great idea too, I haven't encountered these SHN and FLAC formats earlier and just need to know what software I need to get. I also wouldn't mind some Genesis stuff. :winking:

Well, we certainly can't have a start-up package with all bands but DS/MK and dedicate it to Mark, eh :winking: So I think the best way to go about it would be to say "Thank you, Ridan. That's really nice of you". Capiche? :dare: :P

Thanks, Slavi! What do you have in mind? My guess is Ridan has a lot of stuff downloaded and it should be enough to get this thing going :winky: If you're talking about the start-up package, I doubt it will have any MK/DS stuff on it since there's already going to be 5 of their shows on this vine.
