One of these days letters are gonna fall from the sky telling us all to go free, But until that day I'll find a way to let everybody know that you're coming back. even though you left me here I have nothing left to fear. These are only walls that hold me here

Shin had been up almost all night. He wasn't all that quite sure why he hadn't been able to sleep. Perhaps to many things on his mind, or perhaps he just had to much adrenaline in his system to sleep. A new game was coming out first thing in the morning so the excitement had been spreading like wildfire in the Fujiko household. Of course, shin was the only one who seemed unable to sleep since Hakudoshi was just content sleeping on his pillow.

Shin let his eyes drift to the egg there and smiled softly. He was glad the chara could sleep even though he felt he was being really noisy. Shin paced for a bit, making himself tired after a while. The male finally drifted into a slight sleep. He probably got about three hours under his belt before his alarm clock went off signalling it was time to get up. Oh how he wanted to destroy that clock sometimes.

Shin glanced at the pillow realizing that Hakudoshi wasn't there anymore. He got up and saw him floating at his window. The chara normally always was up before him and almost always at that window. Shin pondered the though of him being there for a moment before remembering why he had gotten up early. THE GAME!! Instantly he started fumbling around his room getting ready.

Doing all the essentials and getting ready. Finally he slung a small bag over his left shoulder. "Hey, Haku you coming?" he asked. The chara turned to him before floating over. Shin smiled at him before leaving his room in its disorderly mess for now promising himself he would clean it up later, which probably wouldn't be done. That is, unless Haku made him, which would be normal for the chara.

Shin closed the door to his bedroom behind him. He looked down the silent hallway before moving to Mami's room. He knocked on the door twice before leaning against it and speaking. "Hey Mami~ You still coming with me to get that game today?" he called. Sure, it was early in the morning, but he had been waiting for it. Besides, he told dad he would pick it up anyway. No loss for anyone, except for Shin who was only running on a few hours of sleep. It seemed his adrenaline was going to do just fine.

One of these days

Fujiko Mami Mami had gone to her bedroom near ten the night before. She needed to complete a few more worksheets for school and found that this would give her a good enough start before school for the next week. After about twenty minutes working on some of her math work she pushed it aside and leaned back onto her bed and grabbed her psp from the table. When she was bored and nothing was catching her interest her main goal was to play a game or something. She sighed and started up the psp and started to play unaware that her brother was pacing in his own room at the moment. She continued to play until about one at night when she looked over to see Hotaru sleeping in her own egg at the moment and she yawned and saved her game and set it back down. She reached up and grabbed her math book and folder and tossed them to the floor. She had already taken her brace off for the night and she moved and set her alarm for her phone to go off. There was a new game that was coming out that their father had given them money to buy and a few extra dollars to allow her to buy a game she had been waiting for awhile for her psp. She had enough of her allowance to buy it now, but their father still spoiled her for the most part just like everyone else in the family to a point. She finally settled down in her bed and turned off the lights of her room and soon found herself drifting off to sleep. She had a few weird dreams that woke her up, but she could not remember them when they had waked her up. She looked over to Hotaru to see her still asleep in her egg and yawned slightly and shook her head. She laid her head back down and stared at the wall for another hour before finally falling back to sleep. When her alarm went off it took her a moment or so to realize what was going on and she glanced over at her phone and tried to make out the numbers on the screen. ”….Aww damnit…I cannot read the numbers…” She muttered slightly. Hotaru had woken up from her slumber and started to complain about the alarm going off when it did. She got up and flew over to Mami and landed on her pillow and kicked her in the ear slightly. ”Shut that thing up…” ”I am trying, now you shut up.” Mami said darkly and pressed a few buttons on the side of the phone until it went silent. She looked up when she heard her brother yelling through the door. She pushed herself up. ”Yea, let me get dress.” She yelled back and looked over to Hotaru for a moment and shook her head slightly. She looked up grabbed her crutches that were under the bed and pulled herself up and walked carefully over to her dresser and changed into a long sleeve shirt and some jeans. She then we over to her bed and sat down and placed on her shoes and then grabbed her brace and slipped them on and tighten it up and stood up and grabbed her own bag and slipped it around her shoulder and grabbed her glasses. ”Come on, Hotaru, or are you going to stay here?” Mami asked as she grabbed her hairbrush and brushed her hair slightly. She walked to the door and felt Hotaru land on her shoulder and she smiled and walked outside the door and looked around for Shin. NOTES: N/A

The excitement was brimming off of Shin like he was a sprinkler. He couldn't wait for them to actually get to the store. He had been thinking about this game all night after all. So, he couldn't help but feel very excited just then. His enthusiasm working to keep him moving due to the lack of sleep he had gotten. So much to the point that the boy didn't really know he had shouted at his sister instead of just calling lightly to her. Oops, he would have to apologize to her later for that. Perhaps when he had his "crash" from all this adrenaline.

Shin paced outside Mami's room while he waited for his sister. He wasn't rushing her, no that wasn't it at all. Once again, it was all that energy that he couldn't release. So, pacing it was, as well as thought of what the game was going to be like and how long he could hide it before his brothers jumped him. He wouldn't mind playing it with Mami though, he missed the nights when they used to play together. Maybe she would consider playing with him a bit. Unless she was to busy with the game she wanted to get. He could respect that.

Soon enough, he found pacing a boring habit. He calmly stopped himself only then noticing that haku had sat himself down on the railing of the top floor. Shin frowned at him and moved to him. "Where you sitting there this entire time watching me pace?" Shin asked the small chara. The knight simply shrugged a bit. "I would get tired following you in your pacing so this was the best option." he said calmly. Shin blinked but let it fall off his shoulder. He would get the chara back later.

"Do you want something to eat?" he asked the small chara. The chara mused for a minute then floated back into the air and to Shin. "Yeah.. " he replied. Shin nodded and headed to the steps just as he saw Mami open her door and come out. He waved a hand to her. "Mami, let's get something to eat before we head out, okay?" he called to her before going down the rest of the steps. The kitchen was empty, since it was still early.

Eventually you got used to the cold lonely feel of the place. Since Shin was normally up at different hours than the rest of his family. There were a few occasions he would meet Mami in the kitchen, but they were normally silent. Unless they were both in a good mood. Shin would be honest, he was not a good morning person. He was normally a cranky one that people avoided. It mostly for lack of sleep reasons, which was why it was good adrenaline kicked in about now. He moved to the cabinet and pulled out some cereal and a bowl.

He set some stuff on the table as well as a small little round container for Haku. He looked back up to where Mami was. "Do you want anything in particular, or do you want to get it yourself?" he asked. Ever since learning about Mami's chara he hadn't been as hard as he had been before. Giving her options instead of just saying he was going to do things for her. He really did want to be closer to his sister again..

Fujiko Mami Mami finished getting dressed and walk out of her room to see her brother finishing pacing around the floor and speaking to someone. She moved her head in the direction of where he spoke and smiled slightly when she saw Haku. Even though she was curious to what the little chara stood for she had never asked her brother exactly that question. For her she had told him what Hotaru had stood for since it had been a part of her for nearly five years now and it was not going away. ”Good morning, Shin and Haku.” Mami said to them and followed them down the stairs and towards the kitchen. She raised her eyebrow slightly when he asked if she wanted something or that she wanted to get it herself. She looked around slightly and reached up and pushed her glasses back up her nose and move around to the counter. ”Can you get my box of cereal down for me?” She knew that this was a simple request, but one that her bother would do for her either way. Besides he was the one that was closer to the cabinet that their cereal was kept in. She grabbed two bowls and two spoons for her and Hotaru know that the chara would be hungry if she ever decided to open her eyes and look around. She moved and set the bowls and spoons down on the table and grabbed a class and poured herself a glass of peach orchid juice. It was an imported juice from America that she brought with her own money when she had it. She grabbed the milk from the icebox. She sat down and grabbed the box of cereal that Shin had gotten for her and poured some in both bowls along with some milk. She reached up and grabbed Hotaru and set her down in front of her bowl and tapped her slightly. ”Sleepy head wake up and eat before you complain I didn’t wake you up for breakfast.” Mami mused over her chara. She knew all too well what the chara did when she was not feed and now that Shin could see her too it was not odd to explain why she had more than one bowl at the table with her now. She looked up to Shin and smirked some. ”You been up half the night I see again. You know when dad gets home he going to kick you off the game right?” She was teasing him mainly because it was early and she wanted to judge his temper level at the moment. She picked up her glass and took a sip of her juice and started to eat her cereal as Hotaru started to come around and look around herself. She stirred her spoon in her milk for a moment and looked over to her chara that started to eat. She was slightly surprised that Hotaru was keeping her mouth closed for once during a meal. She tilted her head up towards her brother or a moment and smirked some. ”Seems like this is your lucky break from the rapid mouth of the firefly today.” NOTES: N/A
