A Calm Afternoon (Open)

Marth sat quietly nestled under a tree, he had to get back into his old habit of being a loner during lunch. Though he did long to see a few people, he did like his solitude.

Not one to be social like his sister he prefered his tight group of frineds from Iron knuckle and he did like the company of some people.

Today was different, he longed for someone to join him. As he stared intot he cloudless blue sky, he had a cigarette propped in his mouth, lit of course. Taking a deep inhale, he let the smoke ferment in his lungs a moment then exhaled it out into a puff of smoke that evaporated instantaneously.

"Just like the good old days... to much like the good old days..."

Complaining to himself he closed his eyes, listening tot he almost surreal silence.

Akurei wandered silently into the Inner Courtyard, Ikari's claws dipped into her shoulder, Akurei winced glaring at the bird. "Damn it man Ikari-kun, do you have to do that so hard?!" as she said this to the bird, blood dripped from her shoulder, "Ah shit, now look!"

She ran over to the fountain, putting her hand into the cool crystal clear water taking out a bit to wipe off the blood. Akurei looked around, to see if anyone was watching, Ikari squawked, pointing over to the second year who was sitting under a tree, smoking.

"....uh.. Hello there.." she said, nervousness laced throughout her voice.

Inhaling again, then exhaling another puff, he turned his head slightly at the woman.

"Akureikarasu...third year... class S-1..."

He stood up and crossed his arms. This was an interesting run in, he knew her by name and by appearance that was it. He heard some of the third years in Iron Knuckle talk about her now and again, a loner sort of like himself.

"What honor do I owe a Sempai as yourself to stumble into my neck of the courtyard?"

Puting out the cigarette against the bottom of his shoe, he waved his hand infront of his face brushing his hair aside.

Akurei was well known around the school, ever since she was elected for Etoiles. She looked at the second year, she had no idea who he was and she knew him. What year and class too. Akurei hung her head in shame, she felt weird about the whole thing.

Ikari flew over to Marth, standing with his wings folded next to his feet. "Ikari!" Akurei called. If Ikari could, he would've stuck his tongue out at her and tell her to piss off.

She quickly bowed, "Uh no honour, personally I don't really like being given that must respect from someone I hardly know because I'm a third year and was elected an Etoile" That was the most she had ever spoken to someone without shouting at them. "I actually don't know how that happened" she quickly added, sitting down on the rim of the fountain. She sneakily made the wind splash water into Marth's face. Pretending she knew nothing of what happened and giggled at the crystal blue droplets on Marth's face.

Looking down at the crow by his feet, he then looked at Akurei.

"An interesting pet you have here..forgive my manners, I know about you from my club... many third years speak of you.. that and I am like you an Etoile.."

Smiling slightly he nodded his head as she sat down.

"Names Marth... Second Year, Etoile... Leader of the Iron Knuckles Fight Club.. class M-1..."

Putting his hand to his upper lip, he looked her over. Here standing infront of him was the third year Etoile, and a rather interesting woman, he couldn't place his fingers on it but she had began to strike an interest with him.

Before he began to speak again water sprayed from the fountain onto his face, looking around a moment the surreal windless afternoon and suddenly created a gust that got him wet. Thinking nothing of it he wiped his face and smirked.

"Seems nature wishes to make me look like a jester.."

He laughed slightly, smiling at her.

"You're... an Etoile?" Akurei said, she had no idea who the other Etoiles were. She felt so unobservant. She shot a glance at Ikari, who was nestled in the grass next to marth. Ikari liked to be around new people, "Thanks, but really, Ikari is quite annoying"

With saying that, Ikari flew onto Akurei's head, pecking it lightly.

Watch your mouth..

"Hmmpf, and you'll do what?!" She answered back.

Or I'll peck your eyes out..

"Peck my ey---" Akurei then realised she was talking to a bird that was sitting on her head infront of the Second Year Etoile. She laughed, nervously. A nervous smile slipping onto her lips.

Akurei giggled more at his response to the water on his face. "Yes, it seems like it doesn't it" On the inside, she was smirking, she loved making fun of people with her power.

She held out her hand, trying to push the issue away. "Dozo Yoroshiku, Marth-san" she was pleased to meet him, finally knowing one of the other two Etoiles, and possibly a new friend.
