There are many benifits of having a pet snake if you REALLY know about them. Here's what I mean:
*Some may be expensive +terariums and all that such, BUT they don't need much vet care unless you want to know the gender or if there is a serious problem, such as mites or scale rot (both are VERY bad, especally scale rot * Easy to take care of, especally beginners' snakes * You can use newspapers for his terrarium lining!!! * Sometimes, in my opinion, they can releive stress! I was very annoyed with Zammy AND the computer, so, very irked, I went into my room and held the snake, switchd his newspapers and water (while he was crawling around on my neck and head * They are very calm sometimes. However, they may be a bit nutzy when you take them out sometimes (mine is about to shed so that's one reason) but then they calm down. Sinuous (my snake) is sitting calmly on me right now. I think he's sleeping... There are more, but I can't name them all. -------------------- Can't this happen in the actual series instead of photoshop?

Well...lots of people have different veiws...okay, I have to tell you this, it's funny.
During church, there was something in one of the messages about "if your child asks for a fish and you give it a snake"...and my parents made a joke that night when I was going to feed the snake! "Feed your snake!" "Feed your fish!" And I was also wondering...if snakes are cursed then why did Moses Aaron's staff turn into one -------------------- Can't this happen in the actual series instead of photoshop?

Hm, you're right, but wouldn't WE be...kiiiinnnda "cursed" to (cursed to die and all that junk) thanks to that one little trick that the serpent played. Okay, on subject, there is one rather unpleasant thing about having a pet snake. When feeding it prekilled prey...you might end up with icky, yellow gut stuff coming out of it...and it gets worse because the snake is squeezing it *falls out of chair*. That happened to me with BOTH mice...all though...ugh...I don't wanna talk about it X( . That parts REALLY gross...plus it takes a while to heat up the mice (NEVER NEVER NEVER put them in the microwave. Just in very hot water and wait till they're warm and soft -------------------- Can't this happen in the actual series instead of photoshop?

Nope, that's from ancient Greek times, when they had the God of healing, Asclepius, and he had twin snakes wrapped around his wand. -------------------- Part of the "CHANGE THE COLOUR SCHEME" club.

It was also in Exodus. The people were complaining like nuts and God sent 'flaming snakes' to bite and kill them. Moses had a staff with a snake wrapped around it made that healed the people when they looked at it...and a long time later it was burned because they started worsping it
(After playing Myst: Revelation I have a good idea of what those flaming snakes looked like. Dang, that was a cool thing. You pet it first and then you poke it -------------------- Can't this happen in the actual series instead of photoshop?

Christianity was founded in AD 41, whilst the Ancient Greek religion was founded much earlier than that. I suppose this is another example of the "recycling" of religious stories. Very little in even Christianity is original. You'd think that the people who wrote the Bible might have at least thought up something new to astound people, rather than just slightly changing what everyone else had already done.
This is a small point concerning the actual snakes, but I love looking at paralells in religions, and then laughing when they argue about who's right, when they're both all just a mix-up of the smae ingredients. -------------------- Part of the "CHANGE THE COLOUR SCHEME" club.

Lemmie, tell ya, Sonic, it's EVERYWHERE! 'Course...it the bible it was just one snake, and in greek mythology it was two, which is more commonly known.
I personally like to think of them symbolizing 'God is stronger than all' after the Aaron/Moses' (not sure which) staff-snake-thing. -------------------- Can't this happen in the actual series instead of photoshop?
