Ridiculous Questions, No, seriously! I ain't kiddin' here!

Hiya everyone, I'm Gabe, an interested prospect for the site. I've almost got my character's form ready, but there are a few things I need to know first, these have a small impact on his history...so here goes (I apologise in advance for some of the questions):

1) Are brooms the only method of flying? Well, I had ths idea of giving my character a skateboard that happens to be haunted by his old dog, giving it the ability to fly and respond only to him. Is this allowed?

2) In regards to the metamorphmagus status, is there anything not mentioned I need to know? Any limits on his abilities?

3) Ditto with Shadow Shifting...any range issues as well?

4) Do we have custom spells? It's one of my character's quirks, he comes up with new ways to do the same old thing. An example would be when he is in a lecture, he would touch the paper with his wand and every word he hears will be written down, then later, he touches that same paper to retrieve the professor's lecture for his notes. The example would be his ability to make a section of air vibrate to the point it emits a sound, this allows him to listen to his favorite songs in the school grounds. Just to let you know, these are the only two so far.

5) In order to help with the House Ratios, I've put my chara in Atra, the thing is, does he have to be an evil -you know what-? The reason for the placement is his thirst for all types of knowledge including dark magic. However, it seems unlikely he will become a dark wizard.

6) Is possible to skip years? The thing is, he is 14 years old and I put him in 5th year, all due to his IQ and creativity.

Umm...yeah, that's it...for now.

I really hope an admin doesn't mine me appearing in here. But I might be able to answer one or two questions. That's better then none, right? So, onto the two questions I can answer.

As far as I know, there are no limits. Well, as long as he isn't doing anything too weird like, switching genders or something like that. Otherwise, you're pretty much given free reign.

The thirst for dark magic would be enough. Artemis is in Atra, and she is one of the nicest girls. So, they don't have to be evil. I think they just have to curious about dark magic and have a strong ambision towards something.

Sorry I can only answer two questions. I'm neither one of the admins. Just thought I'd help out until you hear from an admin.

Wow...that uncanny, I actually was planning that to happen at one point...

Well, he might be able to do that, but he wouldn't be able to change the whole thing. Like, he wouldn't be able to change the full anatomy of his body. His face, his hair, and the general look of his body would possibly be able to change. But the specifics of his body wouldn't change. As in: He wouldn't be able to wear tight pants and he'd look flat chested.

1. A skateboard haunted by a dog wouldn't give it the ability to fly. Anything haunted by a dog wouldn't be able to fly. And a dog wouldn't exactly have the choice of passing into the afterlife or staying behind and haunting someone.
2. You can change your character's appeareance but we've already had two people who have alter-ego's already. So it wouldn't really be original.
3. Shadow-shifting is.. moving through a shadow. But you can't jump through one shadow and end up in another half-way across the world. The character would stay within the shadow. So if you were in the shadow of a person, you'd have to stay in their shadow unless they walked into another shadow, then your character could move into that.
4. I'll talk to Anya.
5. If your character has a thirst for all knowledge then he could talk to the other houses as an advantage to himself. So then he'd still be in Atra. They don't all become 00ber dark wizards.
6. No skipping years. They'd still be in the same year as the rest of the people their age group.
