Fuega had been wearing her rider out all day with the running, setting things on fire, trying not to burn him... Then more running, and the obstacle course she had him make for her. If anything, she was ambitious, as if she had something to prove. No one knew where this stemmed from, or if perhaps she was just energetic by nature, but regardless of that fact she sighed as Lanick fell onto the bed, and lay there very still.
She would be fine for several more hours of activity! Ugh, well, he deserved to sleep. She pulled a blanket half over him, then very quietly snuck out of their quarters. Where to go though? she sniffed the air a few times, then decided that maybe a bath would be nice... But she didn't want to show up at the bath house without her rider- where else could she go...
Eventually the idea came to her to go to the gardens, she had heard of them but hadn't really gone to them yet. They had lots of water-y things right? She strode confidently through the halls, before exiting onto the grounds and heading for the lush expanses that were offered at the gardens... She was pretty surprised by how expansive they were, it could even house water dragons she imagined!
Peering about, she darted from bush to bush like a silent hunter. Only the occasional glow from her many fiery pits occasionally revealed where the tiny huntress was in the steadily dimming light. She slowed as she approached the crystalline waters, leaning her head down to sniff at the surface, and action which sent out a small set of ripples from her nose.
"This is going to be so cold..." She muttered to herself as she dipped a claw in the water, which released a tiny amount of steam.

It was nice here, Stik realized. Especially in his little spot among a billowing bunch of long-stemmed flowers with fat, colorful petals. He lay on his back, arms crossed behind his head as a cushion--well, not a very comfortable cushion, with his arms being as bony as they were. It was peaceful, and he was away from everybody. While he didn't mind his friends, he just needed some chill out time from Rivior's need to constantly be doing something exciting and the boundless energy of Talula's dragon. But time to himself meant that he started to think of himself, and he wasn't sure that he liked it much. Having Rivior around again made him realize just how much he had mellowed out since bonding to Anemone. It was due to the lack of fighting, he knew. He had wanted so badly to be in in the war! All he could do now was drool over everyone else's stories. Some of them grumped at him about his eagerness for a good fight with a Taint, but it was just who he was. He was restless; there just wasn't enough for him to do! Perhaps he'd would seek out a ranking person of some kind and beg for an assignment. Anything, anything to get out and about! Well, there was always helping out with road repairs and such. But that was boring as hell.
As he muddled about in his own mind, Anemone had long since slipped off to go about on her own. The forest had spent some time sniffing flowers--since no one was looking--then had eased into the water. A forest she may be, but she did pretty well in the water. Sometimes there was an interesting water dragon or two, or more, that would keep her entertained or even tease her about her appearance, all in which she took quite proudly. She rather liked her coral and leafy looks, and it made it fun to lurk about in the water and pull the occasional prank since she could blend in to the brighter-colored foliage beneath the water. She was aware of Stik's thoughts, but did not intrude. She was feeling as edgy as he was, with the need to get some kind of action out of their current life. But for now, Anemone sought to be content with what they had going in the here and now. If she encouraged Stik in his thoughts, it may only lead to more trouble then they were rightfully prepared for.
Since she could only hold her breath for so long--even if she did practice that limit every chance she got--and kicked off the more shallow end of the lake with her delicate hooves. She wasn't in a major hurry, and drifted leisurely, and was so able to catch sight of a dragon leaning over the bank. The dragon's image rippled, and she slowed more, mischievous. Well, she wouldn't spurt water on this one. Even through the distorted view, she could tell it was a fire. There was no quicker way to make an enemy than by spurting water into a fire's face. As the young dragon continued to look down, probably not seeing her yet, she approached slowly. Hehe! She could only imagine what it wuld look like to the fire when she did drift into his eyesight, like a watery alien coming to the surface.
She paused just before her snout could break the surface, staring creepily up at Fuega as air bubbles popped up to the surface as she let out a jet of air, hoping to startle her without the need of getting her wet.

It was true that the small dragon had missed the fact that there was a much larger, and more naturally colored dragon lurking about in the water... But even so, it was easy to catch the patch of seaweed suddenly drifting up in her direction from below. She didn't run away, though she did lift up her head and start to take a few steps back when the others nose appeared. It wasn't enough to avoid getting snorted at, which illicited a small squeak, as well as a somewhat more surprising reaction. Namely, lots of fire.
It didn't come from her mouth though, at the moment of being startled flames erupted from her sides, neck, tail, and pretty much everywhere else. Through the distorted water it might have been hard to make out all the openings between the scales that flared before that small, nearly explosive release. thankfully, for however startling the sudden emergence of flames were, they were not exceptionally hot, and didn't last long either. Even if the foliage around the little dragon didn't appreciate it very much.
"Hey, it's not nice to startle people!" She said in a somewhat indignant manner, as she put out some of the burning plants around her. She let the gill like slits on her side remain open for the moment though, waves of heat emenating from them, as well as a deep red light that wavered slowly. She looked almost like a living furnace. It was pretty obvious she probably didn't care about startling people, except for that fact that it was /her/ that got startled this time.
Her 'serious' look didn't last too long though, as she finished putting out the last plant and giggled. Peering back at the other dragon- err.. Probably dragon. All she could see was a very long nearly tubular muzzle.

Anemone's blue-tipped snout had just only breached the surface when the little dragon erupted! With a squeak and a burst of bubbles that popped up, she dove her nose in, but felt the tip of her nose burning a bit. Ah, come on! Really? She wasn't that scary looking...was she? Tucking her head to her chest, she rubbed her wrist along her nose, snorting out the rest of her air supply. Which was what forced her back up now, to see plant life sizzling and the little one putting them out. Wait, yet another wyrmling? Well, a lot had hatched this time around...she was bound to bump into most of them whether or not she wanted to. Her head poked up, watching her, and snorted rather...un-lady dragon like. "Youngling, you are not a 'people'. You are a miniature dragon," she sassed back, but regarded Fuega with not irritation, but interest. Especially when she started to giggle. She laid her head out on the bank, still eyeing the other.
"Now, which little sprite are you?" she asked. Unlike most others, she did not take the time to memorize names with faces unless she got around to the introductions personally, not by mouth. While she awaited an answer, she ducked her now-warmed nose back into the water, sucking some water through her nose, brought her head back up again and spewed an impressive sprout of water further into the flowers. She grinned when she heard a splutter and a string of curses from Stik and a good few flower stalks snap as he flailed from the sudden wet state he was now in, wiping it from his eyes.
Stik crawled out from his spot, a decent distance away from the other two, still wiping water from his face and eyes with one hand and looking quite soaked. Peering out from soaking bangs, he blinked in surprise to see another dragon. Really small, so, one of the new wyrmlings, though he couldn't quite place this one.

Fuega felt a little bad for startling the other dragon right back, but they deserved it! Though, she hoped that she hadn't burned the delicate looking nose of the other. She wasn't sure how much of it had emerged from the water before her fireworks went off. Most dragons wouldn't get too singed from such a brief contact, but forests and waters tended to be a bit more susceptible it seemed.... come to think of it, she had no idea which breed this one belonged to, though it appeared to be more water-y than plant. No webbed limbs though... Hmm... "'People' are relative to the speaker," she said as she puffed up her chest, and pretended to look like a snob. "and I'm not miniature, just young." she added, as she let her chest deflate again. Another small round of giggles bubbling forth.
"I'm Fuega~ What's your name?" She asked, before standing up on her hind legs and reaching out towards the others nose. She was lucky that she did this after the burst of water, otherwise she would have been in for yet another surprise. "Sorry if I singed your nose, when I get startled or scared I tend to... Erupt a little bit." She said with an apologetic smile, before gently kneading at some of the sensitive tissue. She was pretty good at soothing the stinging and such, even licking one or two places that had been the most effected. she would never admit how many burns her rider had received thus far due to such outbursts.
Her attention was momentarily caught by the string of curses, and she peered in that direction just in time to see the soaked man. She covered her mouth with one hand as she tried to suppress some laughter, but it only worked marginally. Anemone would have no trouble hearing them, though Stik would. "Oh, and my rider's name is Lanick! He was a bit too tired to come here today though..." She didn't mention that she had practically dragged him through countless obstacle courses, which she had made him set up in the first place... No one needed to know that.
After seeing the spout of water, she also decided to withold the fact she came here to take a bath, not till she was ready to have one anyways. A spurt like that one probably would have sent her flying across the lawn... Also, she contemplated helping that human dry off before she herself got wet, she was practically a furnace after all.

Anemone snorted at that snob-act the little one tried to play, only to fall into fits of giggles. She was cute, and interesting so far, Anemone thought. "Well, fine then," she said right back, though there wasn't a hint of malice in her words. She liked a dragon that could speak up for him or herself. "Fuega, sounds spicy," she commented. "I'm Anemone." She blinked slowly, several times, as Fuega started to paw at her nose. The little paws kneaded at her snout, and Anemone felt it again. That little tug at her heart that Ely has uncovered first. She knew not all of the new generation dragons were as 'sweet' as these two, but there was something about them that just knocked aside her usual barrier and wiggled right in. A draconic smile crossed her maw when little Fuega licked a few of the more tender spots. She couldn't find herself to be mad at this one.
"Well, I startled you, so I suppose I deserve it," Anemone said, giving Fuega a comforting nudge with her snout before slipping the rest of the way out of the water, half curling around her, head still level. "I wish my rider was tired enough to give me some space. That foul-mouth over there is Stik." Mischievous, she lowered her voice for Fuega only. "But his real name is Jiromy. He pretends not to like it, but he really does like it when he gets called by it."
"Anemone! I already had a bath today. What was that for?"
"Then I'm afraid the natural stench of you will never leave," the forest trilled back in a mockingly sweet voice, and Stik made a face at her before coming closer and peering over Anemone's tail.
"Fuega, huh? I don't think I have ever actually met Lanick, What brings you so close to the water on your own?" He asked curiously, leaning on Anemone's tail, only to fall over and land before Fuega as Anemone snickered and pulled it away.
(Sorry for shortness-lameness but I didn't want to keep you waiting and waiting...^^'''')

Fuega puffed up a bit and let some more heat escape from the strange vents that seemed to cover her body, it wasn't hot enough to burn and soon enough stopped altogether. She thought it was getting easier to control, but the longer she pent it up the more it seemed to explode at a later time. "Spicy? Hmm, well I am hot in at /least/ one way." She said with a wink to the older dragon.
When she was curled about, the little dragon didn't even hesitate to flop against limb and lounge over it. She seemed to enjoy being close to others. She still felt bad about burning Ane, but there wasn't much she could do about it now. "Oh, so your rider is a... Stik in the mud?" She whispered back in a conspiratorial tone, though this of course caused her to giggle very lightly. It wasn't the best joke, and she was sure that Anemone had heard it before, but it was too hard to resist. "I wonder why humans always seem to have multiple names..." she commented idly.
The interaction between the dragon and rider was very interesting to her though, she hadn't really seen any that so openly antagonized eachother... At least in a civil manner. She nearly choked on a laugh when he fell on his face though, and hopped over to poke at him while he was down. "I was going to take a bath, and I think Lanick is kinda new here... I don't think he's met many people." She stepped a little bit away, so that she wouldn't burn either the dragon, or the human, then let small plumes of flame escape from her sides, neck, and tail.
The little dragon didn't smell bad, for sure, but there was a slight scent of charcoal about her. There were also some darker areas around and under her joints and wings, which if they had seen her clean before might recognize as ash or smudges that was once dirt or grime that has been pretty much burned away. "Do you have any soap?"
She knew she had forgotten something.

Anemone snorted. Fuega would be very interesting as she grew up. Certainly worthy of her time and attention. Perhaps it would be fun to even consider this one a 'friend'? Well, only time would tell. But she couldn't help but laugh out loud at the joke. Oh yes, she had heard it and used it herself, but it was still fun to hear. "I think the extra name makes them feel more important, or mysterious."
She felt proud of Fuega as she poked at the fallen rider, who twitched in good humor before sitting up. "Uh, well, bring Lanick sometime and maybe we can hang out or something," the young man said with a shrug to one thin shoulder, giving Anemone a look. What had she been whispering about? What under the moons was she washing into the young one's brain already? He didn't get the chance to ask, for he couldn't help but be fascinated by Fuega's display. Anemone sighed in a girly manner as her rider's eyes all but lit up like jewels being splashed with sunlight.
"Woah! Anemone, why couldn't you have had been a fire? Talk about kick ass!" he said, getting to his feet and approaching Fuega and giving her a closer look once the fire had died down from the vents. "Now that is something. How far can you shoot flame? Have you practice much yet? Do you--ooow!" Anemone had purposely moved her tail around and over to some bushes, whacking her rider in the head on the way as Stik seemed to miss Fuega's question and pummel her with his own.
"Of course dear," Anemone said sweetly, ignoring Stik as he rubbed his head and cursed again. "Make sure you tell Lanick about this, too. Some riders leave some soap right here in these packs for shared use, but you'll have to contribute once in a while. Hmm...try this," she used her nose more than memory to locate a smaller pack and curling her tail around the strap, plopped it at Fuega's side. "It shouldn't leave any residue to muck under your scales and smells like lemon grass."
So she was a tad bit jealous. Fuega was her friend, so Stik wasn't allowed to show that much interest. In her mind, anyway.

Feuga seemed delighted that her jokes were received so well, she still wasn't entirely sure how good she was with them... But that was mainly because she hadn't really had much of a chance to test out her sense of humor on people other than her bonded. She nodded in response to what the extra names were for, though it did make her wonder why Lanick hardly ever mentioned his last name except in very formal occasions where it was expected.
She didn't have too much time to think about this before she was being spoken to again though, turning she smiled at Stik. "Okay! I'm sure you two would get along." She said happily, though after the 'display' she nearly giggled at his reaction, and nearly waved a hand infront of his face to see if he might snap out of it... He seemed to do so before that was neccesary though, oh well. She was pretty sure he'd become entranced enough again at some point to mess with him.
The vents, and slits flared somewhat as he took interest in them, but only hot air escaped for the time being... She seemed to enjoy the attention greatly and show off somewhat, the myriad of questions did illicit a rather exasperated look from her for a moment though. "I'm only two months old, I've mostly been trying to figure out how /not/ to burn people..." She covered her mouth when he got hit in the head though, blocking out some light laughter. She felt a little bit bad for Stik, but that was just too funny. He wasn't really that hurt anyways, though the interactions between him and Anemone were even more interesting than they were just amusing... It seemed like many riders and dragons had very different interactions with eachother than she had initially expected.
"Thank you~!" She said with a little sing-song in her voice as she opened the pack, removing some soap. She sniffed at it slightly, it did smell like... Something. She guessed that's what lemongrass smelled like, who knew? "Did you ever run around doing things on your own when you were a wyrmling?" She asked as she tentatively approached the water, peering back at them whenever she spoke though to be courteous.
The little dragon figured it must be normal, after all, she had so much more energy than Lanick he always seemed to get worn out first... His endurance was increasing though, and as she got bigger he'd probably have to do less taxing things... She silently wondered if she'd end up as big as some of the other fires she'd seen, some of them were huge.
