Passive or Aggressive: Passive, Aggressive if threatened
Description: Rocs are enormous predatory birds. With wingspans often nearing thirty feet, they are easily the largest species of bird known on Sekkai. They have long, powerful beaks which they use for stabbing at prey. Their wings are broad, and they can often be found drifting majestically on warm air currents. Rocs are intelligent, thoughtfull birds, and, while attempts have been made, would rather let themselves starve than become tame. Females are normally larger than males and the more territorial of the two. Their underbellies are usually off white with slight speckling while their backs and wings can range from deep rusty red to light tan to coal black with no variation based upon gender. A Roc's tail is often wide and tapers to a long point towards the center.
Where commonly found: Mountain and desert habitats, mostly in Assaria and the surrounding area.
Name: Phoenix
General group size: Solitary animals by nature with each other, sometimes bond to other creatures
Passive or Aggressive: Passive, Aggressive if threatened or protective
Description: There are, in fact, three types of phoenixes, each with their own base abilities and appearance. Most common is the fire phoenix, these creatures are able to summon or create basic fire themselves, though no one is quite sure which. Their feathers are often red or orange, with the edges of the feathers on their wings, tail, and crests tipped in gold. Males have much large crests than females, though a slight puff of feather shows that females have the same crest. As with all phoenixes also, their tails are extremely long and appear almost ornamental. Ice Phoenixes, on the other hand, often have blue feathers with silver tips, sometimes possessing an iridescent sheen. They have basic control over water and more particularly ice. Flora Phoenixes are quite different, often appearing drab in comparison to their cousins, though they make up for it in power. Their feathers are often brown or green of varying shades, though more often than not are duller colors more often found in nature, the tips of their feathers sometimes lined with a dull bronze. They possess control over flora, strangely enough, and are incredibly elusive.
Where commonly found: Fire Phoenixes commonly found nearly everywhere, Ice Phoenixes found in high mountains, Flora Phoenixes found in dense jungles, often moist.
