basic information
name: Mackenzie Roselyn "Mack" Kerrage: 15
year: fifth
gender: female
blood: half-blood
canon/original: original
physical features
height: 5'7"
weight: 113 lbs
eye color: pale grayish-blue
hair color: white-blond
distinguishing marks: very light hair, large eyes, slight build
appearance: Mack is a pretty small girl. Not in height, she stands a little on the tall side, actually. But her build is thin and light, without much by way of curves. It makes her seem shorter than she is, very slight and easily overlooked. This is a trait that Mack sometimes likes, and she aids it by dressing simply, in clothes that do not draw much attention to her. But there are more traits to her than her build and the way she dresses. Her hair is a very light blond, white-blond even. It was a few shades darker when she was little but though she has some highlights, it is mostly natural, just became progressively lighter as she got older, though her eyebrows are still a bit darker than the rest. Her eyes, like her hair, are pale, but we assure you they're not blond. That would just look creepy. No, they're actually a light blue with the most subtle gray tint. They're a little larger for her face than she would like and elliptical shaped. They give off a bit of an innocent look, which she hates, even if truth be told it's probably not far from the truth.

personality: Mack is not as bold of a personality as one would imagine a Gryffindor should be. She's rather afraid of people, actually. She's never been well-blessed socially, usually on the outskirts of the out-crowd. She knows that teenagers can be pretty cruel, and doesn't think much of herself, so when she's approached by someone she sees as out of her league, she's a little distrusting and actually come off as abrasive unless she has some evidence that they genuinely want to talk to her and don't have some trick up their sleeve. It makes her come off like a bit of a snob, and maybe she is but more out of insecurity than anything. She doesn't speak up much in class, usually just sits in the back and lowers her head to her desk and pretends to sleep, even if she can't. She doesn't really try to come across like a disgruntled teenager or like she's angry, because she's really not, she's just very very shy, and rather than laughing nervously when she's approached, a deffensive wall comes up for her that usually drives people away. When those people leave, she figures it just proves her point, though she's not completely stupid. She knows she does much of the driving away herself, she's just a difficult person to change. But once she is comfortable with someone, she's much more open, and while I won't say she's a typical teenage girl, she's much more accessible.
Mack is small and generally unnoticed, which gives her impressive skills when it comes to stealth. If you need anything sneaked into or sneaked out of, Mack is the go-to girl for it. She would make a great thief if she didn't have a problem with stealing unless she needed it. It also makes her a great seeker in quidditch, as she can slip through when she sees the snitch and be diving for it before she's even noticed. Being invisible has its perks sometimes. Also, while she's rather innocent in that she has a sense of morality and ethics and hasn't had much opportunity for things with her lack of social skills, she isn't a child, or at least not a baby. She's drank firewhiskey. She sneaks out of school almost every other night. She can throw a punch when she needs to, though she doesn't like to fight unless she has to. She doesn't need to be sheltered. Her parents tried to shelter her, and look what happened there? She started playing quidditch behind their back. She doesn't see herself as very brave, though she's in Gryffindor, but she wants to be. Maybe one day she will be.
history
mother: Parker Kerr, 38
father: James Kerr, 38
siblings: Christian Kerr, 10
other: nada
history: Mackenzie Kerr was born March 18, fifteen years ago, to a newly wed couple, James Kerr, a squib, and Parker Kerr, a former Slytherin witch. The two were different, with Parker much more uptight about regulations and etiquette and such and James more laid back and for just having fun, but they did love each other. They never called their youngest daughter Mack, always making sure to fully say Mackenzie, and Parker even to this day refuses to hear her called Mack. She tried to make a sweet little girl out of her daughter, that loved dressing up and smiled at everyone and had tea parties, but rather failed with Mack. She would always slip out of her dress and somehow end up playing outside in her underwear. She ran away at the sight of new people unless she knew them well. She was exactly what her parents did not expect from their little girl. Five years after her birth, they had Chris, Mack's little brother. He and Mack bickered and squabbled like most siblings, especially because he was mummy and daddy's little tattle tale and any time she did something wrong, he was sure to tell. But she always had his back and he knew it and was grateful for it.
One thing that always interested Mack was Quidditch. She watched all the games on telly with her dad and even went to a World Cup with a friend once when she was nine. She determined when she was ten that she wanted to be a seeker by profession when she grew up, and her mum promptly shot her down. Quidditch was too dangerous, and there were a million things she could do with her life that would last much longer, whereas a career as an athlete would last maybe ten years once she actually took off. If she was lucky. She was told not to even play at school, though she went to watch every game. But when she came home and said a word about them, she was met with a roll of the eyes and eventually gave up communicating with her parents much, especially her mom.
When she was fourteen, she finally got up the guts to try out for the team, and made it. She had never felt more natural than when flying, in practice or at a game. She managed to keep it from her parents as she was at school all year and they were at home all year and fourth year easily became her best year at school, even brought her out of her shell a little, made her bolder. Fifth year she's stayed on the quidditch team and it's been pretty fun too. There's only one upcoming problem. Her little brother starts school next year, and if she can't find a way to keep him quiet, she can kiss quidditch goodbye. As well as her life outside of parent-induced house arrest.
