appearance: Looking at Callie, one would never suspect much deviousness or cruelty. She looks innocent, sweet to someone who doesn't know her well. Her hair is a glossy copper red, thick and often chestlength or a little longer, usually falling in soft waves, sometimes straight. Never curled, she tried it once and it did not work out well for her. Her skin is pale, almost transluscent and baby smooth. Her eyes may not be considered beautiful, but they are certainly striking, her most striking feature, in fact. They are an almost hauntingly pale green, slanted in a mischievous catlike shape, but the trouble in them is not something one often sees at first glance, too distracted by the very pale sea green pallor of them. Her nose between them is broader than she'd like and a little flat, her least favorite feature, but her lips are her second most striking, rosy and full, virginal looking almost, though they're far from it. In figure, she is tall without being too tall, but her thick bone structure makes her appear taller. She's not fat by any means, just exactly what I said; she has a thick bone structure. Fortunately she has curves to boot, and she knows just how to show them off without coming across as sluttish. She is a proper girl at heart, loving to look pretty and not averse to wearing skirts or even day dresses on an ordinary day. She does wear jeans and pants though, like any other girl nowadays, but will still add little things to her appearance to make it look pretty.

personality: Much like her appearance, Callie is the kind of girl who comes off to those that don't know her as that sweet, good girl, her parents' pride and joy, innocent, harmless. But anyone who is close friends to her or listens to school gossip knows that is not the case. Callie was rightly sorted into Slytherin. She's devious and has almost perfected the art of manipulation to get her way. She's very determined in getting what, or who, she wants, no matter what, or who, the obstacles might be. And in just about any situation she can find a way to get herself out. She's the epitome of cunning, and far from sweet and virginal. Her best friend, after all, is Violet Blake, and they're very much of the same vein, Vi is just more open about it, whereas Callie likes to fool people.

But in some respects, she is a little naive. Far from innocent, but sheltered. She comes from a good, wealthy family that is very elite about pure blood and the kinds of people they associate themselves with. Thus Callie knows little or nothing about muggles or their lifestyles or anything that isn't already in the wizarding world. She finds out a little from her friends at school, though she can't say she's terribly interested. She also has a very biased view of the war, as her parents are such hardcore supporters of the Brotherhood. The things she does not know, though, are all things which she claims she doesn't need or wish to know. She doesn't care to learn about muggle things or hear the Order's self-righteous point of view of the war. She knows where she stands, and doesn't need a more open mind.

Callie isn't a very loyal person. Usually she's out for what's best for her, and what happens to anyone else is none of her business. She sees backstabbing a show of ambition, something admirable even, and she doesn't have a problem with doing it herself usually. But Vi is the exception there. They've had fights before and it's certain that Callie isn't the perfect friend, but she does actually care about Vi a great deal, Vi might be the one person she cares about as much as if not more than herself. She's very loyal to her best friend, possibly more than necessary sometimes, but it's safe to say that if you somehow are lucky or skilled enough to matter that much to Callie, it's safe to say she'd walk through fire for you.

history: Callie's parents were not fresh out of school when they married. Mind you, they weren't exactly old, though there was a large age gap. Minna was nineteen and James was twenty-seven, but it didn't bother them, and her parents approved of him, which was good, because Minna was from a pretty strict family. She wouldn't have married him without their approval. But they did approve, encourage it even, so they did marry, and almost immediately she became pregnant with Krister, their first child. Four years later, Calanthe Imogen Ayers was brought into the world with her wide, pale green eyes and her perfect pout. Even from the time Callie was a baby she knew how to get what she wanted and get out of trouble when she had to. She had such an aura of innocence about her, false though it was, that even when she was caught redhanded her father would think she was too sweet a child to have done anything wrong, at least consciously. She was the queen of using the adorable face to get out of things. But it was when she was about five that she reached the point of being near unstoppable with it, because around five, she met her partner in crime.

Her name was Violet Blake. They were around the same age and their parents were friends. From the first time the girls met to play with each other they hit it off right away. They were much in the same similar vein, manipulative but cute about it, and as they got older, with each other's influences, it only got worse. Together they were unstoppable. So of course they were best friends from the start. Violet became the most important person to Callie easily. Oh, she loved her parents and her brother well enough, but when things went wrong, or she just needed to tell someone anything, it was Violet to whom she turned, and she made sure Vi knew she could turn to her for everything. They were elated when their letters came from Hogwarts, and further so when they ended up in the same house, though no one could be surprised. The two were perfect fits and they put it to good use as they got older. Where Violet was a little more open, sometimes getting a bad reputation and sometimes a rather good one, Callie was always the one to be careful of. She could say something with such a look of sweetness and innocence and sincerity and turn around and say the exact opposite to someone else. Best of all in her mind, she rarely feels any remorse for it. She could two-time just about everyone and never blink. Violet may be the only one that gets her loyalty.
