Name: Jel Lacluze (ZHELL la-cloo-ZAY) Nickname: Name Meaning: Sex: Male Age: 15 Birthday: Sexual Preference: Orientation is a spectrum? Year: First-year Physical Description: Jel is smaller than average in height and build, standing at about five feet, six inches and looking, on the whole, about two or three years younger than he actually is. A great way to put it would be that he seems to have forgotten to undergo puberty. Rest assured, however, this is not the case. Jel is ... acutely aware of his ... "size" problem. Jel is also a bit quirky in his manner of dress. His wardrobe is definitely a look into the past, a steampunk-esque menagerie of brass, copper, and cotton. He likes to wear newsboy hats and suspenders. Tweed is one of his best friends. When he wears clothes with patches, it's as much an issue of saving money as it is an informed choice regarding style. Jel belongs somewhere else, in a different time or a different place, and he likes projecting that to the world. Aside from that, Jel is actually quite ordinary. He has bland brown hair and dull brown eyes, skin marked by the occasional acne scar, and no real distinguishing feature about him. But that's only if you're wrapped up in appearances, which Jel had learned, from a very early age, was akin to buying a ticket to deceitville. Appearances could be deceiving. That was the point. Jel is able to fill up a room. He has a voice on him, loud and, while not necessarily deep and rich, not as high-pitched as one might (ignorantly) assume by looking at him. It was something he practiced, every day before going to sleep. It would be silly to say he idolized old radio stars - who could idolize something like that - but he envied their confidence and their way with words, and he knew that he could speak the same way with practice. He is very determined. He does not like giving up and will rarely admit to failure or the possibility thereof. When he quits, it is usually at the urging of someone around him. He is friendly, though not gregarious to the point of being irritating. He is comfortable in new situations, though he prefers the quiet certainty of the familiar. He is a normal person, with a few 1930s fetishes. It's really not that hard. Oh, and he carries around a pen and a small notebook. Watch whatever you do around him. He will sell your story for a price.
