Okay, it seems things are pretty much decided. We ought to move to the new site ASAP and start advertising like crazy once were there. Old members will probably be more inclined to RP on the new board, also. I know I like the idea of dumping the battles and starting fresh at the new place.
Soo, Darkie will be working on board descriptions this week between homework and college crap. I'll keep you folks updated. Meanwhile, I need input on one last subject: the SkyClan plot.
If you've read Firestar's Quest, you know that there was once, in the beginning, a fifth Clan. This Clan was called SkyClan. Thunder, Wind, Shadow, and River drove it away; and the members became scattered over time. The SkyClan bloodline mixed with the loners and the kittypets of a land beyond the four Clans. In the book, Firestar had the task of reassembling the lost Clan, and he successfully does so. The plot idea that the staff discussed on our board was that SkyClan currently inhabits the land around the lake. SkyClan, once large, is now dangerously small due to a disease that eliminated most of their very young and old. When the four Clans arrive, SkyClan has no choice but to simply get out of the way; they cannot risk a battle that could kill more of their number. So this fifth Clan is pushed to less desirable territory (beyond TC & SC or around the Moonpool river; we need to decide which). There's is harsh, canyon land with little prey and dangerous terrain. Not only does this open a fun plot for those in SkyClan, but if we choose to, we could bring up the disease that killed many SkyClanners as a plot tool later.
What d'you guys think?

I've been fiddling. Here's a lake territories map, personalized to fit S'C. It includes SkyClan in their small territory after the other four Clans arrive. They would inhabit a canyon (like in Firestar's Quest) and the rocky, leanly vegetated terrain surrounding it. The reason they don't extend their territory farther east or west is due to the loners and rogues that live in the neutral lands. SkyClan is small and weak, and therefore it is to their best advantage to maintain peace with the loners, rogues, and Clans. And as always, these ideas are just ideas. Feel free to call out something you don't like or wish to improve on. *** The "swing territory" thing will make more sense to everyone when we get to the new board.
