Background Story: Noah can be described as stubborn, humble and very passionate. When he met Allie he was just a guy looking for whatever he could get. The moment he saw Allie he wanted her. He wanted all of her. So he hung from a rollercoaster cart until she decided to give him a chance. The date was a success and Noah woo'd her. From then on Noah became devoted and very interested in everything Allie did. Before he had just been a simple country boy happy enough to live with his father. He still was humble and delighted with simple country life which is why when Allie's parents didn't approve of him and just about forbid her to be with him he let her go. She was supposed to go to New York and enroll in school. She begged him to come, but he simply asked "What would I do in New York?" She explained to him that being with her would be what he would do. He walked away and she tried to put up a tought girl front that she didn't need him, but when he drove off in his truck she chased after him. He settled into life as normal once she did leave. He did however write her for a whole year. None of his letters were returned. He enlisted into the army and went to serve his country. His friends were killed right in front of his eyes and he was changed. He became slightly cold and when he returned home to his father he seemed normal. Only when his father died he became slightly insane. Starting to build a dream house that Allie and him had dreamt of fixing up years ago. He finished his task a young man with a fractured mind. Allie saw his picture in the paper the same time he finished the home and fainted to find him still alive. She figured she had to go see him and find closure or something since her and her new beau were to be wed soon. She found him and figured out he wasn't living in the house, but in a shed near the house. They settled into a the roles of friends as she visited him only one day it turned to more. That day it rained and as they returned to the dock after a delightful boat ride Noah confessed it was never over. That he wrote her for a year and she never returned his letters. He told her it still wasn't over and kissed her. They fell into the passion and were consumed by it for days until her mother showed up wondering where in the hell she was also to share with her that Allie's fiancee was visiting them soon. Her and her mother went on a car ride where Allie's mother confessed to her that she too had fallen in love with a man of lower class than her before and she had given him up for money also she informed her of how she hid the letters Noah would send her. She felt very bad about it. Allie returned to Noah and confessed she had to leave. She leaves him to decide who she will spend the rest of her life with. Noah waits anxiously wrapped in a red blanket he greets her on the porch of his home when she returns to tell him she picked him. That's when they start their life together. They grow old together and have kids. Only Allie begins to forget things. He has to check her into a home once it go so bad she couldn't remember her life. Allie wrote a book about their childhood romance together and apart. Noah told her he'd read it to her everyday when she forgot again. He did everyday. She'd remember her life later at the end of the night and forget seconds later. She would forget everything about him reading her the story also. So everyday he was reintroducing himself to his wife. He too stayed in the nursing home with her under a different name, Duke. One night they both passed away in her bed leaving behind their children and grandchildren.
