I- Brief

Before Serenity Anime was hacked there was a LOT of spam all over the place. There didn't seem the be any order, now as we try to create a new SA, we have made some rules the seem the work but now we have more members and I'm afraid those rules will no longer be in activity for so long.



II – Freedom

I can’t speak for everyone, but one of the main reasons I created SA was to have fun and create a forum where anyone may enter and have fun, and I'm generally easy-going attitude towards the rules,( as you guys know me already) it has a lot more freedom than any other forum I’d been on, where it seemed that the mod’s just ban you as soon as they look at you.Therefore we need a change for the good of the forum.




III– Registration Rules.

When you signed up with RS, you agreed to a set of terms. Essentially, these are:

III.1 - You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned.

III.2 – Any posts represent the views of the author, not the administration or the site.

III.3 - You agree that the admin and mods of the forum have the right to move, edit and/or delete threads and posts should they see fit [See ‘Staff’ section of the rules(IX)]

III.4- You may register only one account BUT if you share a PC let the admins know, remember that doesn't change the fact you should know the rules.




IV- General Forum Rules

IV.1 – No flaming, baiting, calling someone names they don't want etc. or anything else designed to get someone else into trouble. It’s not big, it’s not funny, don’t do it.

IV.2 – Keep personal problems off the forum. This means do not bring vendettas, nor ‘drama whoring’ to the forum, as this is likely to make other members feel uncomfortable.

IV.3 - Do not harass other members. Essentially, if someone asks you to stop contacting them through private messages and the suchlike, please do. If you reply to a post of theirs, please ensure that it’s NOT a flame bait, or a flame [see rule IV.2].

IV.4 - No hacking, hacking threats, or offers to hack - This carries an immediate server ban,so you have been warned!!

IV.5 - No bit torrents Bit torrent sites.

IV.6 - This is a Family Site So please, no heavy swearing( I will not longer use it). I know that they’re generally blocked by the swear filter, but please, still try to keep bad language to a minimum, as this is a family site. Also, no pornographic posts, including links to pornographic sites. [See advertisement section (VIII)]

IV.7 - Do not spam.Spam should be kept to the forum provided for it. If a thread elsewhere becomes too bogged down in spam, it may be moved, locked, or even deleted. Spam IS, however, acceptable in the Spam area. This includes double posts.Also they are a sections where you can double post they are the Spam Area and the Journals




V– Shout Box Rules

V.1 - No Flaming Once again.

V.2 - No swearing or adult content The swear-filter doesn’t cover the shout box, so please watch what you say! Remember, once again, this is a family site.

V.3 - Do not bring personal problems to the shout box It’s acceptable to talk about what you’ve been doing offline, and have a mild complaint, but please,no drama in the shout box. That’s not what it’s there for.If people don't follow the rules we will the forced the take the shout Box away.




VI- Private Message [PM] Rules

Private Messages are an integral part of our forum life and if used properly, are a great benefit to everyone. However, all of our members have the right to freely read their PM's, without fear of what messages have been sent to them. Some messages are certainly not acceptable.Therefore a set of PM rules must be set down. As we can't directly monitor these,but we are working on that.

VI.1 - No Harassment. Just like everywhere else, please do not flame members through the PM system. This includes abuse, unsolicited messages of a sexual nature, and any other way you can think of to harass a member. You can't do it in the open, and you can't do it through PM's either. Such behavior is not acceptable anywhere on the forum.

VI.2 - PM Usage is a privilege. Anyone who the moderating team believes will cause damage to the site, or has a history of harassing our members, can have their ability to PM turned off, without warning. If you believe you have been judged unfairly, please post a message in the Court Section of the forum, and we will consider your appeal.

VI.3 - 'Cyber' - This is a family site, so obviously, we can not condone acts such as 'Cyber Sex', even via the PM system. However, we also can not check to ensure that you are not. In real terms, this essentially means: If you do it, be discreet REAL DISCREET.

VI.4 - If you report a user for offensive PM's, the Mod can and likely WILL request access to your account, to check the validity of your claim. During this process, you should change your password to something neutral, like 'password' or your user name, so that the mod doesn't gain knowledge of your password. The Mod will access your account, and check ONLY the offending PM (Please provide us with the title). This is to ensure fair play on all parts, and protect members against wrongful persecution.

VI.5 - No advertisements via Pm. we are working on a system where it will let us know if someone uses the PM's to advertise.






Basically Follow the rules and act your age.

VII.1 – It is acceptable to post threads with little or no meaning or significance in the Spam Area or Journals.

VII.2 – Even so, it’s still annoying to have a thread knocked off course, so if a thread IS on topic, please do not post something off topic. though we do accept the fact that many threads will go off topic, so as long as it stays near the original topic we will usually tolerate it.

VII.3 – It is acceptable to give short replies in the Spam Area and Journals forum.

VII.4 – Double posts are allowed in Spam Area and Journals.




VII.A – Farewells and Goodbyes

VII.A1 – Should only be posted in for absences longer than a few weeks.It's not if your gone for little less than a weekit will count as spam and it may affect your post count.

VII.A2 – May have short replies along the lines of ‘goodbye’

VII.A3 – We would appreciate it if you would NOT post replies like ‘good riddance’.If you can’t say something nice,try not to say anything at all.

VII.B– Jokes

VII.B1 – Short replies are allowed.

VII.B2 – Slightly risqué jokes are acceptable, but please remember that this is a family forum, so nothing too graphic.

VII.B3 – No racial jokes.

VII.C – Journals

VII.C1 – Double posting is allowed, since you’re the only person who can post in your journal.

VII.C2 – Please try to write it as a proper journal, do not spam it.

VII.D– RPG Area

VII.D1– Include descriptions in the first post
VII.D2– If the RP dies, it may be locked. [if unanswered for a month]
VII.D3– Characters – Needs to include biography with:
VII.D4– Name
VII.D5- Age
VII.D6- gender
VII.D7- magical powers ( if the RPG lets you have any) or weapons ( if allowed by the creator)
VII.D8- Appearance [picture/s]but offensive images, hentai for example, are not allowed.
VII.D9– History[ we will not take unknown]

VII.E-The RPG's Plot

VII.E1 – Sing-up thread and actual thread
VII.E2 – No RPs without a plot or point.
VII.E3 – Include some sort of story and rules.
VII.E4 – No single line replies.

VIII.F-Quizzes

VII.E1-This is not a spam section, therefore short answers will not be allowed
VII.E2-Post any quizzes you want just as long they are rated [G] no [R] rated quizzes.
VII.E3- If you want to comment on someones answer (s) you can just don't post short post. This will make very hard for the next person to post [see VII-VII.B– Jokes]



VIII– Advertising.

Many people often wish to advertise their site, however, it’s annoying when a member signs up with that sole intention in mind.We must have a set of rules to govern what is allowed in this respect also.

VIII.1 – Remember that this is a family site. Please ensure the advertised site is not too mature.

VIII.2 – Do not sign up with advertising your site as your only objective. We will see that your advertisement is trashed and may get you banned from our server.

VIII.3 - For more details view the Advertisement Thread.

VIII.3 - There will be NO advertisement in members SIGNS, there is a section where members can go and see adds.

VIII.4 - Sometimes members say that it's also annoying to have to be the administrator in order to advertise a "cool" site. Therefore that rules in no longer in activity. Will accept any advertisements in SA. But they will have to be up to our standards.

VIII.5 - Members can only advertise [2] times per month.

VIII.6 -If you only want to advertise in SA you will be banned, you have to keep been active.

VIII.A - Affiliation

VIII.A1- Post a topic you want to add us as your partner.

VIII.A2 For more details view the topic --> ::Rules:: [Must have 20 post], Read before posting !!!!




IX – SA Staff.

Of course, all rules only work if everyone follows them. Therefore, moderators, or ‘mods’, are also subject to the same rules as above, with the additions that:

IX.1 – A mod is a servant of the forum, not its ruler

IX.2 - A mod should be a peacekeeping force, meaning trying to NOT to fight with other members

IX.3 – A mod may not attempt to use their ‘power’ outside of SA, threatening to ban someone from SA if they’ve been annoyed elsewhere for example.

IX.4 - Any problems with a moderator’s decision should be taken up with the administration. that means that you should not just go around the forum harassing the decision maker abut it.

IX.5 - A mod should be impartial.If there is conflict where as a mod has "friendship" with a member that is in trouble s/he will not be and it's not allowed to take charge on that conflict. Other mod will be in charge of that.

IX.6 - It is a serious offense for a mod to abuse their power in any significant way. Any allegations as such will be taken seriously.

IX.7 - While the mods may, for serious incidents, ban you immediately, they will generally give you enough time to say goodbye first, unless they feel that this would compromise SA security [e.g. hack threats]

IX.8 - If the mods remove/lock a thread of any significance, then they are to say why it has been locked/removed. In the case of removal, this will be by a PM to the author.

IX.9- If a Mod starts fights without reason or without showing respect she/he will be banned from the server no question asked!!!




X– Posting Rules.

It’s a lot less fun for everyone else if they have no idea what you just said, and it’s a lot harder to respond too. These are mainly just guidelines, but if followed they’ll make it easier for everyone.

X.1 - Try to make sure that others will be able to follow what you say.If you want to get replies.

X.2 - If you use any complex language, larger words, or post in a non-English language, then remember that other members may not be able to work out what you just said, and if they ask, post a translation.

X.3 - The majority of your posts should not just be one word answers, as this makes it harder for others to reply after you. If you agree, try to state how far you agree, and if you disagree, what it is that you disagree with, and why. Shorter responses are acceptable in some forums




XI. - Name Changes -

While you are allowed to change your name at any given time. Just let everybody know in your sing or profile,so there might not be any confusions along the way.As of right now there is no rule about name changes or what they say,but your not allowed to use penis as your user name or any short or name like that since it creates an uncomfortable environment. And since I don't want anyone using that name or any name like that no one will use it.
PM the administrator or Co-Administrator for your name change.
