The one thing about him that you'll have to bear in mind about him is that Norse gods are mortals who will age regularly and die if they do not eat Iđunn's golden apples. He does not have access to these.

Personality
At the moment, Garek's personality can be best summed up as bland. he is rather dull to talk to, and he hardly does anything interesting or notable. He has an innate tendency to speak in poetic prose, and can imitate nearly anything after watching only a few times, but that is as far as he goes along the lines of eccentricities. People ignore him most of the time as he does not really stand out.
Origin
A secret son conceived from an affair between Singy and Hagbard's brother Haki and birthed in secret before Singy and Hagbard's famous deaths. As an illegitimate child, the famous sea king Haki disowned the child at a very early age and left him in the midst of a forest to be devoured by wolves. The child was not destined to die there, however, and was discovered by one of Odin's sons, Váli. Váli raised the child as a protégé with occasional tutelage from Tyr to train the boy. As years passed, the boy had become a man; a man who carried out the will of Váli. He would meet his match upon being sent to punish Loki on the behalf of Forseti, and be tricked into drinking a special poison. He was not destined to die there either, and fell unconscious. Loki, seeing that the man had gained much power from Tyr and Váli, bewitched him to lose all of his fighting skill before casting him away into the wilderness of Midgard to be, ironically, devoured by wolves. He managed to regain consciousness and flee to a nearby farming town on his own. It is there that he attained his title of 'Garek the Wanderer'. Since then he has wandered the Midgardian countryside with no real purpose living off the charity and kindness of others. Váli is unable to offer him any direct aid due to the spell placed on him by Loki. Only when he gains his knowledge of single combat can he stand in the presence of his tutor once again. Tyr graced the man in his youth with the ability to learn at a swift pace, but is unwilling to offer any further aid as it seems Loki's spell did not hinder his learning speed. It is spoken among the Nordic gods that he is fated to survive Ragnarök like his tutor Váli.
