Can I create two characters? More in specifics, one on MENRA's side and the other in CRUSADER's side?

As far as I know, we must all be on CRUSADER's side. Although, I intended to ask this same question as I wish to bring another character into play in the not-so-distant-future.

If you think you can handle it. I'm writing both a novel and a fan fiction, so I'm confident in my abilities.
