((OoC: Okay, so to get my feet wet, I'm starting a rp so people can get to know my writing style, my abilities as a writer, etc, etc. Hope you people enjoy it and join! -fangirl ))

This rp is rated PG-13. (Keep in ind that PG-13 can be lenient with language and themes, but keep things at least slightly tasteful.)

Death Lives: Backstory

He's the last person you see before you die; he's the end of all life. He's Death, and he doesn't work alone.

When Death takes your soul, he sees you're true colors; who you really are. He chooses the strongest, coldest killers to live with him after death. They act like assistants, helping him collect souls and other tasks. In return, he keeps their souls from descending to Hell, because honestly, if he chose you, you aren't going to Heaven. He refers to these helpers as his Family. You will live forever with him, but if you do die, your soul will go nowhere, and will be trapped forever in the Barren Realm. Your soul can't speak, can't feel, can only see, see the world move around them, without them.

The souls of the Undead (Vampires, Zombies, etc), or people who died but lived on Earth anyway, travel to the Barren Realm after their final death. These people are the only ones who can lay hands on Death's Family; they are the only ones who can kill them.

The Barren Realm

A realm that connects Heaven and Hell. Death and his Family live here, along with the souls of the undead. This world, though called Barren, is very modern. It's filled with clubs and places to bide one's time.

The world is called the Barren Realm because it is completely void of all color. Everyone and thing in it is black and white (thus characters are in black and white).

Your character can either be a member of Death's Family, or they can be an Undead.

You don't have to be too detailed (I'm not!). I'm just asking for a quick little bit of info on your character. Shouldn't take you to long to fill this out.

An Example (My Character)

Name: Nocturna Shadows (Real Name: Ophelia Kettla)

Gender: Female

Race: Human (Deceased, member of Death's Family)

Appearance: Nocturna is about 5'3". She has long hair that stretches halfway down her back. It's currently gray, though it was originally brown. She wears a old-fashioned black and gray dress that is still ripped and dirtied from when she died.

Biography: Nocturna lived and died in the Dark Ages. She was a serial murderer, killing everyone she saw and disliked. She was labeled a murderer and a witch, and when she was finally caught, she was drowned. Upon dying, she, well, cussed out Death. Death, however, fell in love with her evil yet childish self. He kept her soul and brought her into his family. She's one of his favorite daughters.

Nocturna surveyed the scene for her father.
"Clear," she said simply.
"Excellent," he replied. Death than exited the large black castle. "I don't know when I'll be back."
"Whenever is fine with me," Nocturna waved off his comment. She watched as he pulled his cowl over his head before anyone could see the skull that hid underneath.
"Keep things under control here," he commanded, before he stepped into the black portal and left the Barren Realm for a world of souls ready to be harvested.

Nocturna smiled as she turned away from the portal and re-entered the castle. She called out to the Family she knew was there.
"I'm going out. Anyone wanna come with?"
