This is an idea I have for a roleplay, rather than me beginning it. Tell me what you think?
Daemons dominate the Middle Plane, and the Naturel Spirit is nowhere to be found. The mortals that inhabited Middle Plane - once alone and content - have lost all faith in the gods they once worshiped. Their spirits are broken. In a dry kingdom starving for the birth of life, even through the tiniest crack of dirt, despair and ruin plague the men, women, and children living in it - or, for better word, imprisoned. They are nothing but slaves, toys for the daemons that conquered the Plane one hundred twenty years ago. Though, of course, as there is most of the time, there are the "privileged" mortals who stay in the castles of the daemons and control what the slaves do. They are the go-betweens for the daemons, who have bothered not to speak the few languages spoken between the people they have conquered.
With loyalties split and the mortals at constant war with each other over food, wood, abandoned houses one might come across, the daemons always have a strong grasp on the pathetic population of mortals.
Hope long ago vanished from the Three Divisions of Hasashi Kingdom, simply named by their numbers, Division One being decently treated, while Three was the poorest, sickest, and hungriest. But when rebels actually start to speak up for themselves, trying to start an uprising against the ruthless daemons, will there even be any will left in the mortals? Seven voices that speak against the creatures that control them - two from Division One, three from Two, and two from Three - the prisoners of the Divisions themselves, and the mortal traitors who live a better life than the others with the daemons. What will it be? Will the Divisions stand and fight a futile battle? Will they spark a rebellion that spreads like wild fire to the four other kingdoms that may eventually gain their Middle Plane back and throw the daemons back into Lower Plane? Will the Naterel Spirit return to help? Or will the mortals be on their own, those seven voices? Will the kingdoms succumb to their masters and endure what has long been given to them since 120 years ago? Will they give up like the generations before them?
The land of Enid is a large land mass that is known as the "Middle Plane". It is a world very much like Earth, except there is only Enid as the main "continent" and then mini islands scattered around it, which are all (mostly) abandoned. In Enid, there are five kingdoms.
- Hasashi
- Jacquien
- Brenan
- Klairet
- Bronces
Hasashi used to be this pretty average place people went to start over if they could not make it to Jacquien or Klairet, the used-to-be most peaceful kingdoms.
Brenan was the most hostile kingdom, already in league with the demons in the Low Plane.
Bronces, in the middle of all the kingdoms, was the poorest kingdom with most of the citizens half-starved. And, a few years before the daemons took over, a plague swept over Enid, but the medical help for the other countries was not in Bronces. Nearly seventy-five percent of the population was wiped out, including the sad king. His wife, a strong woman, luckily, was left to rule. Over time, it has shrunk, and Hasashi, in alliance with the poor thing, had agreed to protect it from Brenan, who took more than half of its territory.
Klairet was a beautiful land with plenty of rolling hills, waterfalls, mountains, and clean, sandy beaches. Only the most pure lived there. Crime was low. It was the best country to live in.
Jacquien was, and still is, a cold land of snow and ice. It is led by a ruthless queen. Though, it was a neutral kingdom, it has become a pathetic excuse for a kingdom that no daemon is fond of ruling.
Though, now the Middle Plane is just pathetic. The land of Klairet is dirty now, and the trees and greenery is mostly gone. Brenan is the most well-off kingdom, considering the mortals there were welcoming to the daemons, and they have the best military. Hasashi is in total ruins, a starving kingdom. Bronces is gone. The land is still there, but it has now become part of Brenan. The people there all died out once they were forced to start working for the daemons. Every single person was wiped out. In Jacquien, they were mostly left alone since the daemons of ice were few and far between, and were a little more merciful than the others, who hated the cold.
The Low Plane is ruled by the Underworld Army. The Low Plane, what mortals called Hell, although it actually is nothing like it, could also be seen as an underworld, because it sits below the Middle Plane. It is a dry land, almost like a desert, but there are parts of it that are quite pleasant. There are beaches, volcanoes, caves, chasms, mountains - though not all that tall - lush forests, and all of that. The only thing that differentiates it from Middle Plane is its absence of animals and mortals.
It consists of daemons of six kinds:
- Flame
- Water and Ice
- Earth
- Shape-Shifters
- Air
- Shadow
Along with the flame daemons, there are daemons that control magma. They are
very rare and only two daemons that are flame and earth have the chance of bearing a child that has the magma ability. It is why there are mostly mates that are flame and earth; they want that power on their side because magma, next to the shadow abilities, is the most powerful one.
Weaknesses:Of Flame Daemons:
- Water dims their senses and disables their ability to use flames
- The cold is not for them. Usually, they will freeze to death, though not as fast as a mortal might.
- Shadows are feared by all daemons
- Air Daemons can control anything, so that's a weakness of theirs
Of Water and Ice Daemons:
- Shadows, of course
- When they are in an area with no water vapor, they are powerless
- If they are not drinking water, they will not be able to use their ability. Not that, in order to be using the water ability, they have to be drinking water at that moment, but if they are dehydrated, no water will be able to be produced. Stay hydrated!
- Air, they are usually powerless against. It is a pretty strong force, so the Air Daemons can have control over anything, and are ruthless in a fight
Of Earth Daemons:
- Fire, if they are controlling the plant part of earth, otherwise they aren't a problem
- Air Daemons
- Shadow Daemons, obviously
- Bombs, or any explosives
Of Shape-Shifter Daemons:
- All of the other daemons, for they have no special power, besides being able to shift into something. Usually, this is something they have HAD to come in contact with, physically.
Of the Air Daemons:
- They are quite vulnerable to all of the daemons, but they are the strongest, since they can master every element, except for, maybe, magma.
Of Shadow Daemons:
- There is absolutely no way to control shadows unless you are a shadow daemon, so the air daemons are out of luck with this. They don't have many weaknesses at all, actually. Unless they are caught off guard, they are guaranteed to win a fight, hence why shadow daemons are the rulers most of the time, or the leaders of the Army.
The Naterel {Nat-ur-elle} SpiritThis is the name given to the spirit that some would call "God," or the "Holy Servant", "the Trinity," but it is nothing like that, actually. It is a neutral force, a natural thing to help keep things in check and make sure the balance of good and evil is not tilted in anyone's favor. The mortals were the good and evil on the Middle Plane, and once the Daemons came, they disturbed that balance. Usually, this force can also be called "The Cleaner" and it cleans up the mess other beings make. It has what one might call an angel, but, again, what has been seen in religion is misinterpreted. These "angels" are guardians, but they can be both evil and good, but they have to work for the Naterel Spirit. So they can choose to leave the Naterel Spirit if they want to either become a newborn mortal, or a Daemon, but then they will be an enemy. Those that fight on the Naterel Spirit's side are the beings that try to get rid of the Daemons, but that fails within the twenty years they start to show up on a Plane they are not supposed to know of. The Naterel Spirit's servants, its guardians eventually leave, and the Naterel Spirit, to keep from being corrupted, leaves the Middle Plane, and it is left to fend for itself.
Since Hasashi is and will be the only kingdom to have the first rebellions in about one hundred twenty years, it will be the main focus of the role-play. There are three divisions - or states - within it.
Division OneThis is right outside of the castle, really, and it is most privileged. It consists of the people who are not treated as bad, but are still the closest, so they end up getting it pretty bad. They live in okay houses, and are happy, now, to carry out the duties daemons - who now roam the Middle Plane freely as citizens as well - wish of them. They have become servants to daemons who live in the houses, but some have their own property, which is actually rare.
Division TwoIt is the second furthest away from the middle of the country, and wraps around until it meets the natural border of a cliff, and the border of what is now Brenan, which is a man-made border of a huge stone-and-steel wall. It is poor, and famine always plagues it. It is an ugly Division no one wants to keep up because they work so much for their food, it is useless to waste that energy. The mortal children are usually working and, if not, cleaning up the Division, just trying to make it look nice in case they get a surprise visit from the daemon monarchs, who outlive mortals by one, or two hundred years.
Division ThreeThe poorest, saddest Division of Hasashi. It is plagued with disease and death so much that the monarchs never even go there, figuring there's no use to. It is a barren wasteland, basically, and is not even wanted by Brenan, who won't bother spending money to take that part of the kingdom. People here have gone underground, if anything, into caves, and live there. It is really sad. There are five entrances into the underground caves, that only specific people of the other two Divisions know about, and then the people in the castle that are allowed to visit if they want to give a status about them.
The CastleWell, it is a large castle that has land that is about four square miles - yes, miles, not acres. That land is kept up, more so, because the monarchs hate looking at wastelands. They got enough of that in the Low Plane, which is sometimes like that in places. A few lakes dot the area, ponds, and a small forest where they keep their "pets" which will be named inside of the role-play, for that is a surprise.
The castle is the regular size of the castle, located in the middle of Hasashi. The land is for the mortal army - those drafted and whom offered to joined because they have a little bit of pride. It is also made up of daemons who have nothing to do.
King Irel and Queen December rule Hasashi. The General of the Hasashi Army is Ezekiel. Notice that daemons do not have last names. Since no one marries, or sees no need to, daemons do not have last names. There are usually enough names to go around, and no one ever looks the same - no, not even twins. The General of the Underworld Army is Dmitri. The rest of the ranks will be decided upon role-play, or if I use more of my characters to fill some spots. The Underworld Army will rarely be used, since it is in the Low Plane, and most of this will take place on Middle Plane, in Hasashi.
The only actual shops are in Division One, and then there are markets and stalls in Division Two. In Division Three, there is no money, only fishing. In that Division, everyone is close, and just try to keep each other alive.
The Seven RebelsOkay, so this is all about the rebels - two from One, three from Two, and two from Three. Two of the spots will be filled with two of my characters - one of them from Three, the other from One - so those other spots can be filled as well.
I will provide information for all of that in a few paragraphs from now.
This is like Earth, and like modern Earth that has digressed. Except there are no such things as cellular phones, electronics, or cars. There are really good guns like we have today, knives, swords, all those weapons. There are bombs, explosives. Most travel is either done on foot, by horse, cart, or a bicycle (yes, they were getting there. They were just interrupted by the daemons).
The clothes usually worn in Hasashi are like those of this century. Cloth, silk, etc. is used. The only dressy things will be for the richest of Division One, and those who live in the castle.
Girls, you're on your own with all that. Daemons don't have the same reproductive organs as the mortals, so they don't have menstrual cycles. Another thing too bad for the mortals.
The status of women has digressed so bad. They are usually only tools and toys for the men and daemons of Hasashi.
There are three races of mortals in Hasashi:
- dark-skinned
- light-skinned
- in between
Daemons are either those colors, a black skin color, or reddish-orange. The hair colors are pretty normal, but sometimes a few odd colours are thrown in there.
Daemons live up to two hundred years, but sometimes two three hundred, depending on the environment. Mortals nowadays live to about the age of thirty or forty. Kids, as soon as they can walk, are usually working.
I think I am done with all that needs to be said. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me, or e-mail me
loveablewriter@gmail.com (and, yes, I know I spelled lovable wrong :P). Though, if you send me an e-mail, please state where you are from, and your username! I don't want to think some creeper is comin' up on me! Hah!
If you would like to join this role-play (which I think has way too long of a description...sorry; I went a little overboard with it. Heh), just post your character here in this format:
Name:Alias (or nickname, what they can be known by):Age and Age Appearance (Age they look):Appearance:Personality:Dislikes:Likes:Hobbies & Professions (or what they are good at):Flaws & Fears:History (You don't have to put a lot down. Not much would've happened to your character that doesn't already suck, unless they are a daemon, which is a pretty simple life):
Alright. I think that's it. If I need to add anything, let me know. Be detailed with that, by the way. Try. Yeah. Thanks. It you read all of that, and want to join this role-play, go ahead and make a character. I congratulate you! :D
