Weyrbowl
Nestled into the largest dip between mountains, the Weyrbowl is the first area guests will see. The walls surrounding the little valley are tall, reaching up to provide excellent protection from any trying to breach. The main exit leads to a somewhat safe road through the mountains, in addition to the one or two small exits that lead to spindly, completely unsafe foot paths.

Lower Caverns
What some consider to be the crux of the working Weyr, the lower caverns house a large number of activities. Daily chores involve trips down to the storage rooms and leisure activities involve coming down to the bathing pools. While most of the front caverns are used, there are some located in the back that are still unused.

Dining Hall
An expansive room filled with tables that were once neatly lined up with matching benches, the dining hall has two connecting rooms to include the kitchens and the hearth. Time and rowdy riders have pushed the tables from their natural order and no one has taken the time to push them back, though the tables frequented by some ranking riders are left alone.

Infirmary
Unusually large for an infirmary, this room can hold quite a few bodies. There is more stocked to tend to battle wounds than for illness, as the majority of visitors will have been injured from fighting or threadfall. There is a separate area for dragons and the dragonhealers, including several ledges for easier access.

Rider's Weyrs
Housing the main force of the Weyr is no easy task, but there are plenty of individual and double weyrs to go around. Starting at the top with the smaller weyrs and working down to the larger spaces, all are stocked quite well - though none as lavish as the weyrs designated for the Husks.

Handler Quarters
Located in the darkest corner of the Weyr, these rooms are set up in similar style to the barracks, though larger and furnished much better. There are two sections in each room: a wallow for the wher, a divider between the sections, and a traditional room for the wherhandler. There is an exit from the Weyr near the handler quarters, giving them a easy way in and out without needing to walk through the entire Weyr.

Weyrling Barracks
Once a candidate Impresses, this is where they are relocated. There are separate rooms for males and females lining each side of the barracks; smaller rooms for lower ranks are located at the end, while larger rooms for higher ranks are located at the entrance. The rooms are very sparsely furnished, but weyrlings will spend more time outside than in their rooms.

Wherling Barracks
Set up much the same as the weyrling barracks - and just as sparsely decorated - though with less rooms. Inside each room are two separate areas: a sand wallow for the wher and a regular area for the wherling. The barracks are located in one of the darkest areas of the Weyr, and there is a divider in each room to block out any errant light from reaching the whers.

Candidate Barracks
Set up like traditional barracks, the rooms are lined down each side of the hallway. Boys on one side and girls on the other. Each room can hold two bodies comfortably, though three can be fit with a little adjustment. Up to 26 candidates can be housed of either gender, bringing the total to 52 candidates if there are two per room, 78 if three per room.

Hatching Sands
The heart of the Weyr is located in the largest cavern, large enough to hold most of the dragons and people of Lyris. Filled with sand and kept heated, this is where clutches are laid and kept safe. There are other connecting caverns in the event of multiple clutches, though don't expect any queen to be agreeable to the stolen attention.

The Skies
A space one can reach only by dragonwing, the view is breathtaking from so high up. The skies above the Weyr is where mating flights happen, and also where thread is fought. But the skies are for more than business - it is not rare to see dragons circle the skies to stretch their wings or participate in races.

Mating Flights/Runs
When dragons Rise, they take to the sky. When whers Run, they take to the land below the skies. While there is plenty of room for dragons and whers to crowd the sky, it is unwise to have multiple flights and runs at the exact same time.

Lover's Lake
Named after the romantic sweep of greenery, this is the place couples steal away for some time away from battle. Shrouded in walls of ivy-clad trees and a carpet of flower-spotted grass, there is no more fitting place to be alone. The lake looks best during sundown when the little oasis is filled with colored light and cooler temperatures.

Battlefield
Exactly what it sounds like, this is a large open field used for battle. Whether used for battle practice or actual battle, the ground seems to soak up spilled ichor and blood as if it thirsts for it. Little cleaning is done after battles, leaving enemy bodies out to rot under the sun. Bones not picked off by carrion birds are scattered over the entire field, adding to the bleak look.

Traitor's Field
A small clearing outside Lyris has been dedicated to the handling of known traitors, assassins or prisoners. There are two main structures in the field: a cavern on the very edge of the Weyr used for torture and an area used for public execution, including the Examples Beam used for hanging.

Haesi Moutains
The main expanse of mountains running partially around Lyris, the Haesi strand is dry and inhospitable. There are a few sparse patches of life, though most of the mountain residents are experienced predators who will gnaw a human neck as readily as a runner leg. A saving grace is the way the sun rises over the peaks, slowly coloring the world each morning.

The Black Stones
Massive stone spires made of glassy black volcanic rock, these rocks are the hallmark of Lyris Weyr, a favored meeting spot of Queens when they are visiting the weyr, as well as the area all the wings and battalions gather before Fall or War. The largest spire, reaching twice as tall as any other, is carved from top to bottom, and is the resting spot of the Senior Queen.

Weyrbowl
Located to the south, Tru'than's Weyrbowl leads out to the ocean. Mostly open, the sides closest to the Weyr are framed with rocky cliffs riddled with ledges and prime sunning spots. The main entrance is rather wide, stone giving way to white sand and brilliant blue water. Guarding the entrance is difficult in that it is so wide, though not many would dare to invade Tru'than with such an archaic tactic like frontal assault.

Lower Caverns
Not so much the 'lower' caverns as just some caverns in the back designated as the lower caverns, this area contains most everything the Weyr needs to function. The founders of Tru'than found it hazardous to put the lower caverns much lower than sea level, so they made due with the caverns in the back that are one floor lower than the rest. There is still more than enough room to hold the buzz of activity around the Weyr.

Rider's Weyrs
The rider's weyrs line the cliffs that make up Tru'than, the smaller rooms obviously located at the top and the larger rooms underneath them. Most individual weyrs have ledges that look out over the ocean and catch the breeze that blows over the water. Others weyrs do not have such a view, and are considered not as nice as the ocean-view rooms.

Hatching Sands
A huge natural cavern has been converted into the hatching sands, an easy supply of sand and southern heat keep every clutch warm and safe. All of the Weyr can be fit comfortably into the space due to the ledges built into the sides of the cavern. There are side caverns as well, though no dragon or wher would choose them over the main cavern.

Krizen Warhold
The largest and most vicious warhold, Krizen is sworn to the destruction of Lyris Weyr. It has not always been such a violent place and was once a more peaceful hold. As Lyris began to demand more from its holds, Krizen did not submit. They rose up and plan frequent attacks on the dragonriders, going so far as to start breeding Warwhers to gain the edge in attacks.

Vensis Hold
Far more peaceful than its counterpart, Vensis Hold is the other largest hold under the reach of Lyris Weyr. While most residents are unhappy with the situation with Lyris, they do not resort to so much violence as Krizen does. If anything, Vensis is more known for its secrecy and false hospitality.

Jethen Weyr
The more recently abandoned Jethen is nestled quietly to the east of everything else. There are still active holds surrounding it, but the Weyr itself is barren, save for the tunnelsnakes, mountainlizards, and wild whers leftover. Parts of the Weyr still look inhabited, like the residents just disappeared and left everything exactly how it was set up.

Nayisis Weyr
Located in the far, far north, Nayisis has long been abandoned. Any lingering traces of life - human, dragon or otherwise - has been wiped clean by the heavy snows that last most of the turn. There are still some beasts that have learned to thrive in the eternal winter, and all of them are vicious. Take care to come well equipped if exploring here.

Bandit's Field
The space between the Holds and the Weyrs are dangerous territory, often occupied by bandit groups. People who have been banished from their homes, those who have run away, or those who simply want to make a living from dishonesty and violence, the bandit groups lurk where no one lives - though they are plenty close enough to rob a person blind.

Main Entrance
A beautiful two level entry way and main gathering place, the Main Hall is decorated elegantly and to the height of fashion. The theme of Antaram's house, however, shifts with it's Madame's moods, and so routinely changes from one theme to another. Switching between four or so themes which are ever so vaguely reminiscent of earth's egyptian, greek, roman, and japanese cultures, you never know what to expect when you visit. Off of this main hall there are smaller halls, each with four doors off of them.

Private Rooms
Antaram house is, after all's said and done, a brothel, and that means there have to be rooms for discreet and honored guests to relax in while enjoying the company of Antaram House's finest. Swathed in velvet of all colors and padded with many pillows, these rooms are not only stylish and comfortable, but also soundproof.

Assassin Training Grounds
Secret and kept away from prying eyes, this group of large padded rooms is kept locked at all times. Unless, of course, you have a key. Keys are not issued lightly, and only members of Blood Craft will have them. Of course, it is them who need access. Hidden behind panels in the walls, one wouldn't even know these rooms where there, unless you know where to look.

Sleeping Quarters
More like the main activity center of the brothel, the sleeping quarters are also the rest areas for the workers. Large, airy, with sliding doors that can be opened or left shut. Of course, only the higher ranked within the brothel have their own rooms, which can be locked. With railings that keep the unwary from falling to their deaths, and an almost constant wind, these quarters are hardly the worst place to live. In fact, they are quite enjoyable. Look our for roaming children, however. There are lots making their home back here.

Kitchens
The other center of activity in Antaram House, because the Kitchen is the heart of the home, the Kitchens here prepare delightful dinners of delicious food to the residents. Warm, spacious, and inviting, there's no single tables but long ones, reminiscent of the Weyr's dinning style. All meals are communal, and although you sit by rank, things can get a bit muddled at meal times.

Secret Passages
Not so much secret as convenient and hidden, these passages are for those who need to move swiftly and efficiently through out the House. Lit by small windows all along these enclosed passages and stairwells, all who work at Antaram know, and use, these nifty little short cuts. Besides, if you press your ear to the wall, you realize that the rooms are not as soundproof as you thought, and there can be some nice hidden niches to seclude yourself in if need be.

Home to the Hold Lords and Ladies and the higher ranked holders, the Inner Hold is fairly empty, with the shiny smell of a place not too long lived in. Business transactions take place here, as well as judgments and day-to-day living.

Hold Guard Barracks
Home to both human guardians as well as the few wherhandlers, the Guard barracks are slightly outside the Hold itself, the first line of defense in case of bandit raid, holder attack, or wild wher mauling. Dragons from Lyris often rotate out here on patrol and weyrlings are sent out here for real-world training.

Mother River
Medium sized of the three main rivers, the Mother River cuts straight through the center of cotholds and holds. It floods annually in the spring, bringing rich nutrients and freezes in deep winter, providing much fun for the holder children, though occasionally there will be a breakage that takes the life of the unwary.

Landing Station and Quarters
Capable of housing several small dragons and whers, the station and quarters are meant to be able to comfortably take care of the couriers and roaming guards serving both the weyr and Hold. It also acts as the landing area for dragons during a Gather and the home of the Outriders (dragons who stay constantly at the Hold, for protection).

Unnamed and unknown, the Forgotten Weyr is a ghost of what once was, a tribute to the dragonriders left scoured of life. Many items remain here, untouched save by time due to the difficulty in reaching the area on foot, and it provides a safe haven for whers during storms or attacks. Easily defensible, its often held by the most powerful pack.
