    History

In the year 2020, Russia became the primary distributer of petroleum products throughout the world spending billions on the largest mobilization of armed units since the cold war. Tensions grew high when the United States declared war on Russia to thwart the inedible, sparking a chain of events that initiate the third and final world war with the use of nuclear weapons.

Over 300 million lives were lost...

    That was five years ago.

In the year 2025, Pharmaceutical Group, Umbrella Corporation, spent billions on paranormal research and genetic engineering, searching for way to live in the now radioactive environments developing an antibody in which they call, Pathogen-CR100.

The purpose of this pathogen was to increase the evolution of the human and animal species to better adapt to the world around them.

    They were wrong.

The Pathogen immediately broke down the host on a molecular level, killing them within seconds... but there was a problem... they didn't stay dead.

Once broken down, the pathogen began to rebuild using the host's DNA to construct an organism beyond the paranormal imagination.

However, once contaminated with the radiation, the pathogen backfired transforming human beings to monsters in mere months.

Figuring the world would never discover their involvement, Umbrella entombed themselves in their underground hive fighting the threat with bio-engineered weapons under their own design with the use of the Pathogen HM-45C solution giving life to what they called Mutants.

In the fear of others discovering their bio-human experiments, Umbrella deployed their sanitation squads through the area. Soldiers had no discrimination against human or monster. In order to silence the petition that may ruin the Umbrella Corporation’s reputation, they gave the 5th Freedom to kill everyone. Both natural and artificial mutants were imprisoned in concentration encampments and eliminated in mass quantities.

Another 5 years has passed. The current year is now 2033. Small resistance groups, known as Difesa, have risen during these years of genocide and have been fighting back for the right to live. They have been attacking concentration camps and adding to their numbers waiting for an opportunity to take down the company that made them into what they are today.

As a mutant, you fight for your survival on the streets or in a group called the Difesa who have made it their priority to eliminate Umbrella Corporation intervention and prevent the murder of millions.

"It's the way of men to create monsters... It's the nature of monsters to destroy their creators..."
