Rebecca Chambers - September 11, 2010 04:21 AM (GMT)
Rebecca had been out walking, for what it seemed like a few hours. She looked up to the sky, she could hear rumblings in the distance. But it didn't seem to bother her, she had been put through a lot and wasn't afraid to show her feelings. Her hands in her green pants pockets. Soaking everything up, enjoying the moment of peace. She remembered what her life was, before Umbrella and the damn virus. She was happy, her family was alive. She could still hear her parents scream. It made her stop, holding her hands covering up each ear. Over and over again she heard it. Seeing the blood, on the ground, on the dead's mouth. But what scared her, was she was covered in her parents blood. No matter how many time she thinks about that moment, she didn't understand why.

But...

This was her punishment, a punishment because she didn't think she would go some place nice once dead. She didn't want to think about that any more, she sighed and noticed a new area, she walked over and sat down on a log. There was a top so if it rained, she wouldn't get over it. But she did something no one in her family did, at least as for as she knew. She had gone to school, and she quickly gradated. She could do anything with medication. She was good at helping people and there wounds. If and only if there was an emergency that she could do surgery. She only did this, if no one was around, she refused to let anyone else die. It was then she made a promise to her parents, to help and protect those who need it.

But ....

She heard something..

"Hello?" she called out.

Claire Redfield - September 15, 2010 04:43 PM (GMT)
The red haired woman looked out over the water which quietly rippled against the rocky shore. Across the way lay a small island with a sand beach, relatively lively trees, and a mysterious aura about it. It looked… peaceful and untouched for as far as Claire could tell. After having convinced Alice she would be alright, Claire decided to go scout ahead on her own for a bit. The convoy had stopped in a secure area, but Claire wanted time to herself. Quite frankly, it was hard adjusting to having people around her at all times again no matter how welcomed it was. A smudge on the inside of the Hummer’s windshield distracted the red head momentarily. Displeased, Claire found a spare piece of cloth and wiped the smudge away. It was a hand print. A hand print! On her Hummer!! So who was in her car touching her windshield because she herself rarely touched her windshield thus meaning the handprint was not her’s!? Thinking back for a moment, Claire figured it must have been either K-mart or Alice. They were pretty much the only ones allowed anywhere near her precious Hummer now. That was all thanks to that damn old hag Agatha. Claire’s Hummer still sported a rather disfiguring dent in the back fender. Every time her blue eyes came across it, the anger rose up inside her all over again.

Putting those thoughts out of her mind, Claire caught a distant movement on the far left of the island. It was a figure walking or maybe lumbering about. Were there zombies over there? Maybe it was another survivor! Swiftly, the redhead exited the Hummer followed by her loyal companion. So how were they to get over there? Looking about on the rocky shore, Hewie came across a pathetic excuse for an old boat with equally pathetic ores. If the being over on the other side was just a zombie, Claire didn’t want to waste the effort rowing over there by herself. Since the figure had come closer, Claire tried to get their attention by cupped her mouth with her hands. “Hello?!” She shouted across the way a little unsure of if the distance would be a problem for their communication. What if it was a bad guy?... For protection, Claire positioned herself with her hand on her gun and ready to bolt to the Hummer if she needed to. It was hard to tell who was friend and who was foe in this world.
