Oh wow that sucks. luckily my cats never chewed cords, but he did destroy my leather chair that I always sat in. No other furniture was touched in the house, except my chair I'd always see him using it as a scratching post. Oddly it's always the male cat too, the two female cats just mind their own business and lay around.

And yeah, I do have a yard, but it's small and I there are more reasons why I wouldn't want a dog. Haha. I don't like them, unless it's something like a german shepherd and in that case I wouldn't want to restrict it to just a tiny yard.

Aww ye. German Shephards are the best dogs. I've had them all my life, 3 total. The first two have passed away and my white one is the sweetest dog ever. I let mine run around indoors though since we didn't have a big yard. Also, I take him down to the river a lot and let him swim around when it's warm out
