Rank: Defender of the Heart -> Saviour of Worlds-> Hero of Light (somewhere in this area)
Bio:
Chosen a little after the Destiny Islands were reformed as a last ditch effort for the Keyblades to preserve themselves. Jacob was friends with Sora when they went to kindergarten but they eventually moved apart both eventually forgetting one another. Years later Sora is the new chosen one and Jacob wakes up in his bed none the wiser of how the world was destroyed and recreated. Going about his life normally Jacob one day encounters a Shadow in a dark alley. Almost as if by instinct Jacob summons the Kingdom Key and destroys the Shadow. Ever since Jacob has kept the blade in his heart to help the people of Destiny Islands while Sora is away.
However the years of unending combat had taken its toll on Jacob. Determined to find out why this war was happening, Jacob turned away from the path of light and began anew on the Road of Twilight. By doing so, Jacob opened himself to the many realms of Light and Darkness, including The World That Never Was. Foolishly he traveled into the realm of Nothingness and gazed upon the castle and the gateway to Kingdom Hearts above the Altar of Naught. Jacob was then consumed by what he saw... Darkness, Nothingness, and Light converged in his body, warring amongst themselves in Jacob's soul.
Jacob desperately tried to regain control of all the power now surging through him. Neither by fate nor luck, but by shear force of will did he subdue the forces raging inside of him. But he did it at a terrible price, his final connection to the Light, which he kept so that when he gained the answers he desperately searched for, he could come back to what he once was, was severed. Now unable to ever leave the Road of Twilight, Jacob continues his search for answers, and hopefully along the way, regain his long-lost connection to Light and free himself from this torment.
Weapon:Kingdom Keyblade
Sample RP:
"I didn't choose my keyblade, my keyblade chose me... As corny as that sounds that's about how well we understand why we are what we are, and why we have keyblades... It is said that our hearts are what set us apart from everyone else, what makes you, you and what makes me, well... me of course." The dusty high backed leather chair creaks slightly as Jacob shifts in his seat. tries to get comfortable, but the chair easily thwarts his attempts with ease every time. He sits in a seemingly abandoned room the only light coming from a hastily boarded up window, allowing just a few beams of light to be let through, barely even enough to see anything. But where the beams did hit it revealed that this room, many years ago must have entertained the elite of its time. A cobweb ridden crystal chandelier hangs over Jacob's head, really the only thing in the entirety of the room that isn't either broken or caked with dust from disuse. but something was off... Like almost as if that chandelier was cleaned more recently than the abandoning of this house. Whoever did it had long since passed though so Jacob took no mind of it.
A once beautiful table that at one time probably was surrounded by a multitude of wonderful, high-backed chairs like Jacob's, now lies in ruins broken in half and the wood silently decaying and warping into the broken mess that it is now. "Most of us don't question where these things came from, some just accept them blindly and start fighting the Heartless without a second thought... Those 'Heroes' only reason for fighting is
because there is an opposing force. That's what we all were in the beginning. But for some of us, just like Sora, the illusion that this war had clearly defined lines of good and evil faded. Then we truly saw all there is are different shades of gray."
"And thats how its always been. I still help those who need it, but I always remember to look at the situation as a whole before I go rushing into something." Jacob checks his watch a look of mild surprise follows it. "Looks like time has made fools of us again..."Picking himself out of the old dilapidated chair Jacob turns to the door. "We'll pick this up sometime later, next week probably. Until then... Adieu..." Jacob exits the room shutting the door behind him. Suddenly a small Shadow creeps out makes a motion that if you look closely almost seems like a wave goodbye, and disappears into the Pathways of Darkness.
