Name: Kc Maxwell Smith. Gender: Male. Age: Ten. Birthday: 7th Summer.
Appearance: Kc is usually always seen wearing some sort of hill billy when he makes an appearance in front of someone. His farm attire is included of an actualy straw hat and old blue overalls, with a white tee shirt underneath. He is only used to this since he has grown up on the farm all of his life. His other cloths besides his "working" ones insist of shorts and a tee shirt, with a base ball cap. Anoyh other time, when it isn't warm and sunny out, his mother tends to be a little rash and makes him over dress, even when it is not that cold out side.
Aura: Pretty nice, really. Personality: Being raised up on a farm, Kc tends to be a little out going and carefree when it comes to your basic life. He enjoys the out doors greatly, and therefor spends most of his time outdoors, even when he isn't working with his family's flock of Mareep. He enjoys running around in the feilds all day, none the less, and is usually the one to be sent to town when his family needs something since he has a better sense of direction around that "crazy place," as his father calls it.
Kc can also be quite timid, due to the fact that he has mainly been around Pokemon all of his life, so he is usually only used to their contact. He grew up riding on the backs of Tarous and Rapidash, and Arcinine especially. He really does love being around Pokemon, more or less. It isn't that he hates or just really dislikes being around other human beings, it's just that he likes the company of Pokemon better, more or less. He is able to make friends with them easily, as some people find out. Which is why he has such a close bond with his Growlithe, more or less. It's a marical that he can do such, for there is a story of him which reads that he never got hurt by a Nidoking, all because he calmed it just by thinking. Strange, right?
Likes: Pokemon, Farming, Battling, Traveling. Dislikes: Pokemon Abusers, Terror, Fear, Destruction.
Magic: Kc has the ability to calm one's nerves instantly just by thinking so, weather they be mad, sad, angry, human, or Pokemon. Some say that it is is Aura that does this to him, though his father doesn't know where he got it from. Kc is also able to speak to Pokemon, though is usually only able to hear them in his mind. There is a flaw to this, such as he must have a close bond - or just a regular bond, as it depends - with the Pokemon in order to speak with them. Which makes his Growlithe come in handy a lot more than you would think.
History: It all started the day Kc was born. He was born to a Jethero Smith and Amy White, both having been happily married for about eight years now. His father was a third generation farmer, having lived on the farm that they owned since he was born. His mother had came from a high class family, though moved out into the deselect country side to get a little peace and quiet. Both had fallen in love at first site. Kc was not first born, nor was he an only child. He had an older brother named Mathew at the age of eight exactly; having been conceived by the two lovers not too long after their marriage began. And there was Ashely, only five years old, both anxious and excited to see her new baby brother. It wasn't long after the hospital stay that the family was allow to bring the small child home to their farm.
Kc's father's side of the family had a tradition that any Pokémon born on the farm around a child's birth date was claimed as their own. And for Kc, his mother's Arcinine had just had a litter by his father's Houndoom practically the same day Kc was born. Since the family raised both Mareep and Tarous on the farm, a few Growlithes would help out a lot. When they arrived home, little Ashely begged to choose out the Growlithe for her new baby brother, and with her, they just couldn't say no. When she came back, though, she held possibly the smallest Growlithe and their mother had ever seen. It was the runt of the litter no doubt, possibly having this disconfiguration due to the father not being the same species as the mother, or vise versa. The funny part about this, though, was that when the little baby saw the small Pokémon curled in his sister's arms, the father standing beside her and watching it carefully, he began to coo. At the farm, runts were usually killed off due to their most lack of not being able to function as well as their siblings. It was decided then that this runt would stay.
The months passed as Kc and the Growlithe grew older together, when the small child was finally allowed out to play. Some of the larger Pokémon, his mother's Arcinine included, were subtled to staying in the main barn. The main barn was usually used for the two Rapidash that his father owned, as well as the Venasaur the man had as a child, since the family grew their own food. The farm owners owned two other barns; one for the flock of thirty Mareep they owned – not to mention the few Flaffy and Ampharos, though those were given away to passing trainers who wanted them if they were able to catch them – and the other for the herd of about ten Tarous they had. Kc stuck to the main barn, where his Pokémon’s mother stayed. He always enjoyed growing up around the other Pokémon, and somehow made a bon with them because of this.
It was one day, when he was roughly six years five or so years old, when his parents allowed him to go venture out into the near by woods with one of the “head” Ampharos – a Flaffy flock can sometimes be like a sheep flock, with a ram or lead male, which in some cases can be a trained Ampharos instead – and Arcinine. Not to mention Growlithe, of course. By now, both were sleeping in the same bed, weather the small fire type stayed in the house or the small child slept out in the barn. The two were inseparable, none the less. This was a good thing, on his parent’s behalf, since they knew he would be safe with an evolved Arcinine. When the young child and the three Pokémon wondered into the woods, none of them expected any danger. Ampharos’ gleaming tail should have kept most Pokémon away if needed. So they really didn’t expect too much trouble. Well, until they realized that a Nidoking thought that the group had invaded his turf.
Kc had been riding on Arcinine’s back, Growlithe following Ampharos’ tail in amazement, when they were jumped. The Nidoking had taken a running start at the large fire type Pokémon, ramming into her side very roughly. Kc would have been slung right off if it weren’t for him hanging on so tight. Kc had given a cry of surprise, trying to hold onto the large fire types back. He honestly had no clue what was happening until he realized that he was hiding in a bush, Growlithe shivering sloe by. His eyes were wide with terror as he looked towards the now fighting Pokémon, Ampharos repeatedly using the move Rock Smash that it was taught. Though, it wasn't working out of the two Pokemon, of whom were weak against the Nidoking's dual ground type attacks. Kc was worried that they would get beat badly in this, and bravely stepped out from his hiding spot and got the large Pokemon's attention just as he was about to attack Arcinine. Strangely enough, as the large Pokemon made it's way towards the child, Kc speaking to it softly that he should not kill his Pokemon, it did not attack, but instead obeyed what the boy was saying. Kc rode home on a Nidoking that day, his parents overly suprised at the new friend he had made, even though the Pokemon left right after Kc said good bye, not bothering the herd nor the flock. Pretty strange, is it not?
Kc also learned his ability of speaking telepathically with some Pokemon, mainly ones that he had stronger bonds with than others. He learned this at the age of eight, with his newly nick named Growlithe Fang. Kc's older siblings had already went out to start their Pokemon journies, at at six, a little girl was born into the family by Kc's standerds. A Mareep happened to be born not a day before her birth. Alice, she was named. Kc found out his telepathy when he was tending to thier herd of Tarous, with the two Rapidash his father owned. A new litter of Growlithe had already been born, Fang's siblings haven been sold out to local farmers who needed good herding Pokemon, and were allowed free roam around the Mareep flock to watch was their mother did as a herder. Their father, Houndoom, had always "over looked" the Tarous. At one moment, Kc was in a trance was he walked around the herd's legs. There were nine females in the herd, the other being the bull. He was old, too, frankly. Kc had acidently bumped into him and spoked him, making him turn around with a suprised call and wanting to trample the small child. It was lucky that the stallion Rapidash ws near by, giving a whinney and rearing up in order to spoke the already spooked Tarous away from the small child. Kc almost had a heart attack from both calls, though thanked the large fire type with a rub on the nose. "Just be careful next time, kid," he spoke with a gentle voice towards him.
Wait, speak?
Kc was suprised at this, and later told his parents about this incedent. They both called this nonesense, though his mother later said that her mom and grandmother spoke of having this ability as she grew up, and said that it could have skipped her generation and went straight to her third born instead. Kc is still having trouble controlling this ability, though it hoping to soon speak to any Pokemon at will. At his tenth birthday, kc strangely enough wanted to wait until he was twelve before leaving the ranch, saying that he wasn't too much in a hurry to leave. Already haven been home schooled growing up, there was no need to go to school anyway. Till this day, he still helps his father attend the ranch and watch the Mareep with his ever trusting partner.
