1.) Characters: To start/join an RP, you must have a bio posted in the sign-up thread for that RP. The RP starter will decide wether or not other members' bios will be suitable enough for the RP. Also, no god characters. (Described in more detail in The Hall of warriors forums.)
2.) GOD-MODDING: This is the most annoying thing that could possibly happen in an RP. God-modding means taking control over other characters involved in the RP. Sure, it's okay to say 'The group left the caves' , etc, but not actuallu make them say or do anything themselves. Also, it is really annoying if someone was to make another's character do something way OOC (Out of character) Well, not much else to say on this except that it is not allowed. (by Drachnon) However if the rpg starter gives premission for God modding it´s allowed. Often this is usefull when several people are not as active as the others and thereby slowing the orpg down. 3.) Spam: Well, I'm sure you know what spam is. Making really short and pointles posts, etc. Well, here, it is not allowed at all. Such posts will result in a warning, unless Bringer says otherwise. Posts must be a minumum of 2 descent paragraphs with atleast 5 lines to each paragraph. Any posts much longer are much better. Also, making posts that are totally un-realistic, and way OOC also counts as spam in these forums and will also result in a warning. 4.) Starting an RP: Right. After having RP experience on many forums, I have seen really good RP's, and RP's that are just really bad. If you wish to start an RP, post a DETAILED starting thread for that RP describing what it is all about, etc, etc in the OOC Tavern. If you chose to disobey these rules, that will also result in a warning. The sign-up thread will also be where all out of character discussion about the RP will be posted, and also where members post their character bio's. 5.) KEEP YOUR POSTS REALLISTIC: Keep your posts reallistic in RP's. Don't have anything happen that has less than one in a million chance of happening, such as being stranded, and then finding a rubber dinghy burried in the sand nearby. Also, your character will not know everything that happens around him/her. He/she won't be able to tell if any strangers walked into town through the entrance at the far side away from them. Sure, it's okay to sense an immense energy of some sort making it's way towards you and the others, ot whatever. 6.) (by drachnon) Double posting: Double posting is the term used when someone makes multiple posts after each other in one thread without an other member posting between them. This is considered a form of spam and such posts will be deleted also a warning will be given to the poster. However when making a post that is several pages long we´ll allow double posting. (example: your typing a story and post several chapters after each other the chapters may be in seperate posts) When you want to reply to a thread where you were the last one to post edit your last post instead of making a new one. |

Okay, sorry for the double post, but this is just to get member's attention.
~Odin~ EDIT: I noticed Drach added this to my last post, but this is just going over it in abit more detail, AND to get your attention on this matter. |
