Frontman's videos, Formerly Known as Anyone make fan videos

Well, since videos are the subject here; I'm going to make it a bit easier as my original question was answered. And since the thread has been about my videos; let's just rename it "Frontman's videos" and go from there. Also figured I'll make this post as an informal directory of my videos as it were and update is as I make new one's. (I still think I should be rather silly and do a Captain Jack Harkness video to 'Just a gigilo.')

we used to have a couple of people, but they've drifted off. i think something called windows movie maker is at the bottom of most people's efforts. if you get anything together, feel free to post it up on the forum.

yep. movie maker is the main tool, i think. i never bothered myself. i have enough to do with the forum, website and the fiction writing.

Well, never hurts to ask. I'll give Movie maker a whirl. If my future posts look like someone just bashing his head randomly into a keyboard; you all will know how it worked out!!!

Happy to say no head bashing required. I'm currently uploading the first attempt to youtube (hopefully without issue as far as the upload OR that *gasp* there's music being used in it!!!!)

It's one of those things I just don't understand about youtube. I'll see a boatload of stuff just ripped off of DVDs and uploaded and they never get yanked, but my family photos, since I put a song to them, got ripped down......

Grrrrr.

I used the program "Ulead" as a buddy had a copy he no longer used. Figured I'd try it out, it actually is very similar to Pro Show Gold, which is what I used for the slide show I did of my wedding photos.

i don't know, Frontman. the pics are ok. but i'm really not sure about that music.

Too heavy?

I was coming from a point of view that the Master, like all great villains, never think of himself as evil. That his rebellious nature to that of the Time Lords (and in this case, the Doctor) is more of a point of view that THEY are wrong, and he is right. That when you have the power of a Time Lord, you better believe its to make the universe into what YOU think is right.

Visually I think its a step up from my first one.

well, no. it wasn't the idea of rebellious nature that bothered me. more that it was terrible music.

The track just didnt fit. Personaly im not good at doing fan vids, but what i suggest is that you try to use a track that would suit the subject matter of the vid. For instance, the Master you could have used a track like Master and Slaver by Kiss if you want a bit of heavy, or somthing a little lighter but the again what would light and slow track suit the Master.

Also on the vid the volume of the music is to loud and it distorts the track, if you reduced the volume the track and that would avoid distortion of the sound.

At least you're honest. Actually, its the only Fred Durst song I actually like.

Like any music (and like Doctor Who itself) not every song will appeal to every person. In the Kiss example, I really don't care for that song; so while EWC0 likes it and think it would fit for the Master, I don't see it.

Thanks for the feedback, though; because like any form of art, only with feedback (and with challenges) can you challenge yourself to improve!!!!

that's a fair comment. I did prefer this one. But it does look very much like an early effort. Keep up the good work, though. You'll get there.
