Hey Girlie, Haley and Peyton

[Haley James-Scott]

Haley headed towards the beach, a few hours after texting Peyton. They had planned to meet at the beach. While she walked, she tightened the grip on the edge of her sweater, trying to make herself feel warmer, as the breeze blew towards her. She definately had other things in mind, like what was going to happen after high school. Would everyone stay in touch? Or would they stop being friends? But most importantly, she couldn't figure out what to choose, Stanford or Duke? Duke had Nathan, but Stanford didn't, but Stanford also had a great music program. One of the best in the country.

[Peyton Sawyer]

Peyton walked onto the beach, putting some hair that was in her face behind her ear. She slowly walking searching the almost empty beach for Haley. Peyton said she would meet Haley there, so thats what she was doing. Though Peyton had many other things on her mind, like what Lucas was going to say when Brooke told him, even though she didn't want her to. Peyton saw Haley and walked up next to her. "Hey, long time no see." she said with a small smile.

[Haley James-Scott]

"Hey, long time no see."

Haley was knocked out of her thoughts when she heard that familiar voice. "Hey girlie." she said with a smile, turning around to face Peyton. "What's new with you?" she asked curiously. It was like long time no see, and Haley felt like she had no idea what was going on in the land of Peyton. Although they weren't like best friends, she still liked to know what her friends had been up to.

"Hey." Peyton said with another small smile. As they continued to walk Peyton thought for a couple of seconds, whats new with her? She was sure Brooke didn't tell Haley about the way she felt about Lucas, so she decided she wasn't going to either. "Nothing much, besides the fact that me and Brooke are still fighting." she said with a srug, but she didn't to tell Haley why. But maybe she could help? "What about you?" she asked her while walking down the shore.

"What about you?"

"Well Brooke forced me to go shopping with her, and now she's making me a dress for the formal." Haley said with a smile and a shrug, it wasn't that she didn't like the thought of having another fabulous design by Clothes over Bro's, it was just, she didn't want to pile things onto Brooke, especially since there was nothing she could do to pay her back. "That and I'm trying to figure out where the hell I'm going to college."

[Peyton Sawyer]

Peyton laughed slightly. She knew that Brooke had probably acutally forced Haley to go shopping with her, she had done it to Peyton many times before. "Thats cool, I'm sure it's going to be great." she said honestly. "Just like shopping with Brooke." Peyton added sarcastically, not really meaning that. But Brooke was a great designer and she expected the dress to look awesome. "Oh college. What are your choices?" she asked Haley. College was definatly important to Haley, she knew because she had worked so hard in school. Reason how she got her nickname tutor girl.

"Oh college. What are your choices?"

"Stanford or Duke." Haley said with a shrug, "Which is basically, without Nathan, or with Nathan." she said honestly, explaining why she was so stressed out about it. People kept on telling her to follow her heart, but how was she supposed to follow her heart if it wasn't making any sense? She didn't want to make the wrong choice and regret it forever.

[Peyton Sawyer]

Peyton nodded, they were both great school. "Well, they are both great. And I'm sure Nathan will be happy for you no matter what one you pick." she said to Haley. The only thing Nathan really didn't like what Haley did was going on tour with Chris. But Chris wouldn't be at college so he probably wouldn't care. "Unless you want to go to school with him.." she said to Haley.

"Unless you want to go to school with him.."

"I do, but ever since I was seven, I've wanted to go to Stanford." Haley said honestly. Seeing all those different faces around the campus, just made her so excited to go to College; to go to Stanford. But now, she hated the thought of it. Because it would mean leaving Nathan and her best friends behind.

"Then go." Peyton said. If someone dreamed that since they were that young, Peyton believed it was meant to be. "I'm sure Nathan will understand." she said. Nathan was really awesome since him and Haley have been together. She definatly brang out the best in him.

[Haley James-Scott]

"I'm sure Nathan will understand."

"He's been telling me to go, but I don't know if I could go that long without actually seeing him. Especially since I'm so used to seeing him in the morning." Haley said honestly. She loved waking up beside him, and getting a morning kiss. She always felt safer when he was around, she didn't know if she could take being without Nathan that long, not again.

Peyton srugged, it was obvoius that Haley had a hard desicion to make. Leave Nathan, or give up her dream. Haley was married and leaving Nathan would be even more harder than leaving a boyfriend. "See if Nathan can go too. Maybe to a local college?" she finally suggested to her.

"See if Nathan can go too. Maybe to a local college?"

"I can't do that to him." Haley said simply with a shake of her head, sure she had thought about it, but Nathan would never ask her do that, and Haley could never do that to him. He deserved to go to Duke and call that guy Coach Shishcombob, or whatever his name is. He deserved to call him Coach, and she couldn't take away his dream just to live her own. She had already left him for her dream, she didn't think she could do it again.

"Alright then. You have a huge desicion to make. I guess I'm going to have to say what I didn't want to." Peyton said to Haley. "You have to follow your heart." she said with a smile. Peyton was sure that many people have already said it to her. So she was trying to avoid it, but couldn't.

[Haley James-Scott]

"You have to follow your heart."

Haley sighed, "I wish people would stop saying that." she said honestly. "So, I'm going to ask you a blunt question, do you think I'd be making a huge mistake if I went to Stanford?" she asked curiously. Peyton and Haley weren't best friends, they didn't hang out 24/7, but Peyton did know Nathan and she also knew Haley, and she wanted to know what she thought would happen if she went to Stanford.
