Welcome fellow Role Players!

Before you role play, or even post here at the RPL, its required to read the following rules.


General Rules

1. Be literate! If you're caught using chat speak, you will be punished. A few typos here and there are fine, as long as everyone can read your post without the use of a n00b-English dictionary.
   Note! If you are joking around with chat speak or illiteracy, place be kind about it. You can use terms such as 'lol' or 'brb' and every once and a while say something like 'png!1!!11!shiftyeleventyness!11', but not too often.
   
   
2. Be kind. This is a friendly environment, and we here would like to keep it that way. Also, no 'OoC fights' where you fight in a role play, out of character.
   
   
3. As of June 13th, 2006, Any and all members that are inactive for 2 or more weeks will be automatically deleted!
   
   Note though, that if you're going on a vacation, you can notify me in advanced with a reason, and I will NOT delete the account. More about this here.
   

Role Playing Rules

1. Absolutely no Power playing, Godmoding, Meta playing or Mary Sues. This means there's no perfect characters, no playing others' characters and nothing of the like. Also, if someone states something, but their character doesn't say it, your character shouldn't know it either.
   
   Ex of Meta playing:
   First Person ("bob"): Bob then thought that Joe was weird, because he drank his lemonade with a sthingy.
   Second Person("Joe"): "Hey! I'm not weird!"
   
   
2. No flaming characters (or people), and no violence outside of the 'Violent' Role Play board.
   
   
3. No mature content, including swearing or pornography. I don't think anyone will post this kind of stuff, but, the rule's here anyways.
   Note! Words such as 'damn' 'crap' 'hell' or 'shit' can be used, but please don't use it every other word.
   
   
4. If I ever ask if you've read the rules, answer with the sentence "No, I do not enjoy eating asparagus".
   
   
5. Be sure to use proper punctuation (periods, commas, colons and semi-colons, exclamation points and question marks.)This also includes using quotation marks (" ") when your character talks.

A few extra tidbits...
Note that romance is allowed, but nothing in the bedroom. You can date someone, but relationships must grow over time, you can't start out boy/girl friends.
Note! "//" and "||" role playing is allowed! Be sure to put that you're role playing it in your title though.

Ex: [//]The wonderful world of Oz.



Also, where violence isn't truely allowed, you can fight, as long as no one's character is seriously injured.
This rule does not apply to the Violence Role Play board!
