I have recently received information that the remains of one of my dearest friends, Maethros, might be in the Tunnel of Woe. He was killed fighting by my side in the kitin invasion of the Knoll of Dissent, shortly after I arrived in Matis. The kitins dragged his body off and I was only ever able to recover the banner he bore, which now stands in my office in the Hall of the Dragonblades.

I wish to seek for his remains in the Tunnel of Woe and recover any other lost items that he may have borne. He had many items of value and it would please me greatly to find them as well as learn of his final fate.

Those in the Reapers of the Dark who can provide aid on this very dangerous quest should assemble at the Knoll of Dissent Karavan Transporter on Saturday, April 1 at 11 pm [GMT, 3 pm PST]. From there we will make our way into the Tunnel of Woe.

Those friends in the Reapers of the Dark who aid me in this quest will be given a share in any items that can be recovered.
