Are you about to register, did you already register, or are you looking to refresh yourself and make sure you've got it down? If not, read these anyway, but if so, listen up:

0/0) No hating of any sort. We want to keep this board peaceful.

1) Only one account per IP address (the only exceptions are for the Administrators, who create dummy accounts for testing purposes, and siblings/relatives living in the same house, but this has to be made known to the Staff). If a member is discovered to have more than one account through their IP address, they will be offered a choice to keep one account or the other/one of the others.

2a) We want no porn or other obscene content on this board. Posting this stuff results in a permaban instead of a warning.

2b) Obscene language is only permitted as long as it is adequately censored (for example: sh*t, f***), but do keep it down to a respectable limit. You can also use the "Censor" smiley by typing ":censored:" in your posts instead of the word you intend to use (or selecting it from the smiley list; it looks like this ->

).

3) Absolutely no links to, telling how to obtain, nor providing copyrighted or protected material for free.

4) No advertising other sites or boards except in the "Resort Recommended" Links forum and/or your signature. You can advertise another topic in your post, but only if it's relevant to the current subject.

5) Hotlinking isn't allowed; do not display an image, video, or something of that nature that comes directly from someone else's server (unless it's a thumbnail or server that lets you display that item, such as YouTube, ImageShack, Photobucket, etc.).

6) No really tall signatures or signatures that stretch the tables. Also, do not post words or combinations of characters, or display images in your posts that stretch the tables either.

7) Make sure you post with acceptable grammar and spelling.

8) No spamming; for example:

---- Making one-line posts that add to the conversation but not to the discussion (however, one-line posts that add to the discussion are fine, but you must quote the post you're replying to so it doesn't look like spam).

---- Starting posts that have little or no detail about the subject of the new topic.

---- Posting post after post after post without letting other people reply.

---- Making the same point over and over, especially even after somebody has disproved it.

---- The last statement in Rule #9.

---- Etc.

---- Also, be sure to stay on topic.

9) No acting like you're a moderator if you're not one.

---- There is a report button in each post that you can click if you feel that a member is doing wrong.

---- You can also PM one of the Admins or Staff and explain the problem to them, but be sure to give the link to the post causing the problem or forward the PM causing the problem to us so we can also have a look and swiftly handle the problem.

---- Also, do NOT post in a new topic containing "bad" content in the starting post, saying not to post stuff like what that topic starter posted or what you think about it; this is actually also considered spam, so just report it and the staff will handle it.

10) If there are additional rules for an individual forum, please read those also. They will be near the top of the page and characterized by a Tails icon.

11) You can get strikes through misuse of the IRC or user chatboxes, so please use them with care.

12) Listen to what the Staffers and Admins tell you. They had to be tested twice over this information.

Behold! The warning system!
One Warning: Basically to tell you that you've done wrong.
Two Warnings: Suspension for at least two weeks.
Three Warnings: You will be permabanned and never allowed to return.
After 1 or 2 weeks, a warning can be removed.

There can also be certain circumstances where we may permaban you immediately, but this is only under an extreme violation of our trust.

We're giving a lot of leeway, so please learn from your mistakes when we point them out to you. We're trying to make it enjoyable for everyone.
