Lobby

She pulled up to the empty building and got out of her truck. Grabbing her bags from the back, she unlocked the front door and swung it open. She slipped off her trenchcoat and called, "I'm the only one here right?"
Her call echoes up the stairs and through the halls.
"...Right?"
".....Right?"
Ick. Creepy. Hope I'm not moving in with any ghosties.
She unslung the bag from her shoulder and plopped it down on a couch in the lobby, kicking up a couple years worth of dust.

Toni rolled her eyes and began to explore the other rooms. She found a music room, many classrooms, a gym, and two kitchens. All dusty of course...
She moved through the bedrooms of the upstairs hall, and chose one fairly close to the stairs in case of emergency. She dusted everything off as well as she could, then moved in. When she was fully settled, she went around and locked all the doors, then went to bed.
Get here soon Professor... Before I die of lonliness and paranoia would be nice...

*after pulling up in his stylish Oldsmobile*
Toni?
Are you here?
*As she descends the steps and runs to embrace him he gets the distinct feeling of home, excepting that this red demon is female and the male doesn't hug much*

awakened by the chatter outside, I walk calmly towards the hallway to see a strange woman.
"Oh...I thought the others weren't going to come..."
"well I'm Alex....whats your name?"

She raised her eyebrow at the man that emerged from the hallways.
I thought I was alone. *mental shrug*
"Hello Alex. I'm Toni. Nice to meet ya."
She jerked her thumbs at the man behind her.
"Thats Professor Broom, but I think you've already met him."
Toni turned to the Professor, "I'm hungry, I think I'll go hunting for a while. Obviously nothing else to do."
She turned and walked towards the doors of the building,
"Oh, and... Alex... Make yourself at home..."
She smirked and left.

*he began to walk slowly towards the doors as well*
"I'll be staying in the little building out back if you need me. As she said, please make your self at home."
*he gave a slight wave and exited the doors*

She returned from hunting in the middle of the night, and took her time coming up the stairs.
God, I'm tired...
When she reached the top of the stairs she remembered she was parched, but that was the least of her worries.
She tilted her head to one side and pushed her hair away from her ear, so she could hear better.
Nothing...
Toni found a note pinned to her door that read,
" Toni,
Dr. Evans has arrived. Greet him soon.
-P.B."
She smirked at that.
Dr. Evans... Right on time...
Pain crossed her features and she doubled over.
CHRIST. Was it poisoned???
Toni dabbed a finger at the gaping wound in her back, and stared at the fizzing dark green mess that came out of it, mixed with her own blood.
She scurried quickly into her room........

Alex had heard a faint shouting and found Toni rushing into a room
"I wonder what happened" Alex thought to himself as he walked towards the vending machine.

**food bag gets stuck** Huh...?!**starts kicking machine...then torches it**

During the night she finally gave up and called Dr. Evans.
"Just wanted to say 'Hi' Doc."
He made her lay down on her stomach on the kitchen table and he ripped the bottom half of her shirt off.
"Oh my, Mr. Evans! Well, I nev-uh!"
He smiled and shook his head.
Dr. Evans: Most people give welcome BEFORE they sneak off and pick a fight with something they can't handle.
He poked her between the shoulder blades.
She winced and the muscles of her back contracted.
"Sweet... I didn't pick a fight, it attacked me... I still don't know what it was..."
Dr. Evans: Well whatever it was it got you good.
They were there for an hour or so and when they were done they had a pile of icky poison green cotton balls, a lecture about sneaking out from the good Professor, and a stitched up demon.
She sat up but quickly changed her mind and lay back down again.
"And when you planned this stitching, Doc, did you incorporate moving!!??!"
Dr. Evans: Not in the slightest.
Toni sighed and Dr. Evans carried her up to her room where she was sentenced to stay until she healed.
"Such strong arms you have."
Dr. Evans: *rolls eyes* You're only 5'3.
She gave an exasperated sigh.
"You don't have to be mean about it. Its not my fault I'm short."
He set her on the bed and turned off the light.
Dr. Evans: 'Night little demon. Don't let the... well.. anything... bite...
How very eloquent of you...
She pulled her bedspread up over her bottom half.
Wonder where that Alex dude got off to...

after torching the vending machine and hiding the evidence, I walked outside...there was a rustling in the bushes
"come out" I said...then it sprang out and attacked me, I quickly threw it across the trees...the creature rised up again, I noticed a needle like object within his left hand.It tried to stab me, but I created a wall of fire i time to scar it before it could reach me "Who are you!"...the creature merely chuckled as he dissappeared into the woods...

As she stepped out into the hallway in the morning, she smelled a wisp of smoke, but ignored it.
The wound on her back had almost completely healed and she wandered downstairs. She heard someone say Come Out!so she went to the front door and peeked out. She saw Alex throw fire at something that came out of the bushes. She watched as they fought briefly and the thing sauntered off into the woods. When Alex spotted her, she walked over to him and said,
"What the hell was that?"

I replied " I don't know....it tried to stab me with some kind of needle..."
I looked over towards the woods. "I'm going to go look for it...
I'll see you around"

"That wouldn't be the smart idea..."
But he was gone.
Professor ain't gonna like this...

**later**
Broom: Toni, have you seen Alex lately? I need to inquire after a missing vending machine...
Toni: I think he went... out...
Broom: Out? Well I'll just go fetch him then...
Toni ran over to the door and blocked it.
Toni: You don't need to be going out in your condition!
Broom: Nonsense, I'm just fine.
Toni: Maybe you should do it later Professor... Have you eaten today?
Professor Broom sighed.
Broom: No, I haven't...
AHA! Check and mate...
Toni: I don't trust you going outside Professor. If you got lost and we couldn't find you, you'd die of starvation. Now lets get to the kitchen and get something to eat, okay?
Toni took the Professor's arm and led him away.
Wait, vending machine...?

Hmmm...now where did that creature go... he couldn't have gone far..not with the severe burn I gave him.

"you...Flame master...why do you folow me?"

Where are you!....come out and tell me why you attacked me

"I was merely sent to lure you out here...some one else would like to speak with you...good bye for now..."

the forest started to tremble as a half snake half person appeared...

She lay awake that night, reading ancient demonic texts on the outside, waiting to see if Alex came back on the inside.
Where could he have gone?
Wonder if I should go after him...
She eventually thought herself to sleep......

the creature began to attack me... I scorched him, but he seemed unaffected by fire, I grab the nearest tree branch and used it as a weapon

the creature simply laughed...I knew I couldn't win this fight..I created a massive wind to cover my escape and fled back into the dorm.
