Title: Music

There's a movies thread so we might as well have a music thread :) Discuss MUSIC here!
I listen to all kinds of music although I've really been listening to punk for the last 5 years or so. And I'm not talking about poppy, MTV bullshit, I mean the good stuff. In the last year or two though, my music taste really opened up and I liked anything that sounds good.
Lately I've been listening to more mainstream type stuff like The Hives, Queens of the Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, and Keane.
You can find a number of different artists or bands on my computer though...from Johnny Cash to Iggy Pop to Rage Against the Machine to the Pixies to some obscure punk band from the 80's. I love it all!
And now I find myself rambling! I just really love music :D

Coldplay really bores the crap out of me. Its depression music, and i'd rather listen to something that would hype me up, not make me wanna commit suicide
For now, my favorite is Killswitch Engage. but it changes over time.

They bore you? Argh, their stuff is really cool. But I agree with you completely dude, I love music that gets me pumped up.
It all depends on what kind of mood I'm in, you know? When I'm excited I listen to techno or hardcore or rock or more intense music. If I'm in a nostalgic, somewhat sad mood (like I've been in lately) I listen to softer stuff like Coldplay.
It's weird though, I used to be a total punk elitist type and I wouldn't give any other music the time of day. Now I'm really cool with any kind of music.

I really like Jack Johnson and Amos Lee. Any Coldplay fans should listen to these guys, very nice, calming music.
Other than that- I really like an 80's band, Journey, and some Fine Young Cannibals, INXS, Eddie Money, U2, etc etc. Recent music is....Kanye West, Sean Kingston, Jay-Z. I like everything really except for country music, bleh. Most depressing music out there.
