Welcome to Pokémon Escapist.
This is a new Pokémon Rp board where the only Pokémon available are from the first generation, the basic 151 Pokémon that are found in Pokémon Blue, Red and Yellow, although the items found here vary from all the games.

Battles

The battling system won’t be hard either. The so called battle stats won’t be what defines if your character’s Pokémon wins or loses the battle; they are useful and they are extremely important but to make it easy for both members and staff members they will be slightly ignored. Your Pokémon will win a fight depending on how your character controls the situation. A weak Pokémon can easily defeat a stronger one, depending on the actions and the control over the situation.

As your character progresses, it will encounter other trainers and wild Pokémon. Those particular trainers and wild Pokémon belong to an NPC account, where it will be used by staff members to moderate the battle. Staff members decide if you win or lose. Whether you win or lose, please don't argue about it. If you have do have complaints then send me a PM and I will revise the posts if necessary.

Your character might battle other members as well. When battling other members, remember that you can't decide if your attack hits their Pokemon. It's up to each member to be respectful enough to decide when their opponent's attack was successful. Not all attacks will hit, but not all of them will miss either. If you feel that a member you are battling is godmodding then contact a moderator.

NPC Battles

As I said in my previous post, NPC battles are moderated by a staff member, using a NPC account.

There are two types of NPC battles: Trainer battles and Wild Pokémon battles. Trainer battles include both Gym Leaders and NPC trainers. On both you’ll have a moderator role-playing with you using an NPC account.

When battling a wild Pokemon, NPC trainer, Gym Leader, and etc., they will decide which attacks hit for both your attacks and their attacks. If you feel that you're being treated unfairly, then you can contact a mod.

Trainer Battles

Trainer battles happen between players' characters. These battles will be moderated by a moderator, just to see how things are going. Moderators won't get involved unless people are playing unfairly, so don't worry!

In these battles you control only your Pokémon; you decide if your Pokémon gets hit or if it was able to dodge the attack. Remember your Pokémon can’t always win and the Pokémon can’t always avoid attacks. If this does happen a moderator will edit your post and make it look more real.

Once you tell a moderator that the battle is done, he will make a post in an NPC account. That post will tell clearly state who won and who lost and then giving the rewards and experience points gained.
