Year of the Cat

After entering Jubilife City, Perry and Ty's first stop was the local Pokemon Center. It was so crowded that the lines for the counter almost started at the doorway. "Now what do we do?"asked Psy.

[Tai]

It would appear we wait.

She replied, with a slight scowl at the crowd. Of course, she knew there was nothing they could do about it, so let the Glameow stay asleep in her arms.

(2 days passed)

(well, actually only 2 hours passed. But they sure felt like days.)


We finally reached the front desk. "What do you require?" asked the local Nurse Joy.

[Tai]

Ty placed the Glameow, who was now awake, on the desk.

We need her taken care of. I don't know all of her injuries--SHe ran away from an abusive trainer during a battle.

[psyquacker]

"We shall have her examined and brought back to you in about 10 minutes." was Nurse Joy's response.

"Why don't we grab a seat?" Perry suggested.

[Tai]

Ty nodded and sat down in the nearest chair.

[psyquacker]

About 15 minutes later, Nurse Joy returns.

"It's a good thing you brought her here. She was absolutely nervous during our examining. Her tail seems to be rather sprained from the torture caused by her previous owner. Also note these faint marks on her back. Obvious case of mistreating a Pokemon by her last owner."

[Tai]

She's going to be alright though?

Tyler asked, genuinely concerned, even though the Glameow wasn't technically her pokemon yet.

[psyquacker]

"Oh, she'll be fine now! Would you like to have full control of this pokemon for yourself?" Nurse Joy smiled when asking this.

[Tai]

Only if it's okay with her. If she wants to go back out to the wild, I'm not going to force her to stay caught.

Tyler replied.

[psyquacker]

"I personally believe that this Glameow is too scared to go back into the wild at this time. Perhaps later when it's gained confidence with other trainers." explained Joy.

[Tai]

Tyler nodded, but still wished it was up to the pokemon, even though Nurse Joy was right.

[psyquacker]

"Ty, Would you like me to take care of Glameow?" Perry suggested.

[Tai]

No, it's all right. I'll take her. She might link you to that last battle with her trainer, until she figures out you aren't like him anyway. She replied, passing a pokeball to nurse joy for her to put the Glameow in.
