Race Driver One is the latest installment in the Race Driver series that started life as TOCA (DTM/V8) ten years ago, and uses the same engine that powers DiRT.

Looking good to me!

Wow very nice.
A few of us are really looking forward to this. Tocca was the best online racer on PS2 imo.

Getting DiRT on Friday as well. bigsmile.gif

TOCA was an all time fav. (just behind CM for me).

DiRT is excellent! (been playing the 360 version all last weekend). Comparing thew demo with the 360 version I'd say the PS3 has a better draw distance for the higher res textures/models - so looks that little bit better, and smoother. Highly recommended. (I just couldn't wait the extra months for the PS3 version!!)

Thanks fot the heads up. AK and Gaz are getting it as well.
Intresting what you said as ign say the same yet someone off this forum said that the 360 game looked far better than the PS3 game.

Think we have a 360 fanboy snooping about.lol wink.gif This-Is-Sparta-Smiley.gif

Problem with some websites like IGN, they'll say the PS3 version has better graphics and a better framerate, and therefore handles better, but then give it a lower score than the 360 version.

I said to devil when the PS3 demo came out that it looked and felt better than the 360 demo, still haven't played the full game.

And not just with DiRT either mate, things like that has happened with one or two other games too.

Anyway those screens look fantastic and Toca 2/3 was one of the best online races on the PS2 so I got high hopes for this one and could give GT5 a good run for its money...

Here, here. As far as I'm concerned, it's the games that count. Oh, and my own lack of patience.

I love the online aspect of XBOX Live. IMO, it's the best thing this gen. It was one of the reasons I went for the 360 version instead of the PS3s. But as it turns out, the online component is not nearly as diverse/populated as the Forzas or PGRs of the racing world.

I don't think I'd be losing anything by buying the PS3 version instead, and so far it seems like I'd gain (marginally) with the graphic improvements.

Roll on RDO - if DiRT is anything to go by...
