Administrator Group: Admin Posts: 40 Member No.: 1 Joined: 30-May 07	OUR SENIOR YEAR RULES This is the list of rules that we would expect every single member of this board to follow. It would be greatly appreciated if you did. There will be punishments and/or warnings if you fail to comply with any of the following rules below. We here at OSY would like to keep the place a great roleplaying environment. That's one of the key goals that we have here at OSY. That, and for everyone to have fun. So enjoy! BOARD & REGISTERING RULES - Before registering, please take a look at the canon list and then register with the entire name given. That means first, middle, and last names. We are an all canon board, and we have eighty characters in total, I'm sure you can find someone that appeals to you. If you happen to register with a character who isn't on the canon list and a staff member notices, your account will be immediately deleted. - No original characters. I can't stress that enough. OSY is strictly an all canon board. No canons are allowed! Only canons, please. Why, you may ask? Well why don't you check out the FAQ for that answer. In the meantime, you can read the rest of the rules. :] - You may reserve canon characters without registering for a week. This gives you time to register, and fill out your application. If more than a week has passed and there is no sign of that character being registered, then the canon will go up for grabs. - Please do not change the character name, or the character face claim. And do not suggest that you do so. OSY is strictly an all canon board. Please respect that canon characters are what they are. - If you join this board, you're saying that you are commited to roleplaying with us. That means if you plan on leaving us, or being away for a certain amount of time, please say so. That's what the absence subforum is for. If you've been inactive for more than a week without at least one post, you will be deleted, no questions asked, unless of course, you've given us a reason. - When you fill out the application, do it to the best to your ability. You have a week upon your registration to fill it out and post it; do not rush the application! It is probably one of the most important things to keep in mind when registering with OSY. Staff at OSY do reject and actually read applications. Remember, Milton Academy is one of the elite, you have to do your best to get in. - Respect everyone and anyone on this board. That's the golden rule. No threats, disrespectful remarks, or and means of rudeness on OSY. If you are caught failing to comply with this rule, you will be banned or suspended depending on the situation. And if someone is bothering you, speak to the staff. Do not take matters into your own hands. - Everyone is allowed to have a maximum of three characters. That's the limit. And before you register with a new character, your other character(s) must have more than 25 posts. New characters will not be accepted unless your others have more than 25 posts. And they all must be active. I can't stress that enough. ROLEPLAYING & POSTING RULES - Every post you make must be in third person. And third person only. Unless of course, you're posting in the OOC boards or subforums, or posting an OOC comment in your post. Those are the only exceptions. Everywhere else is third person. - Posts must reach a minimum of at least two solid paragraphs. I'd like for OSY to be a literate board. One liners & one paragraphs are not allowed. Two solid paragraphs consists about 12+ sentences. Failure to comply will lead to PMed warnings. - No God-moding! This is absolutely a no. It's annoying, rude, and completely inconsiderate. If you are godmodding, you will be suspended for a total of 24 hours. And if you are caught in a thread where someone is godmoding your character, please report to the staff. - Sex is allowed, just please put a warning in the topic title or topic description. Something like "[Rated R]" would be appropriate. This gives readers the chance to shy away from any unwanted reading. Please respect this. - No Mary-Sues or Gary-Stues. No one is perfect, so neither your character shouldn't be either. Everyone has flaws, so try making your character as realistic as possible and save us all the trouble of having to deal with any Mary's or Gary's. -------------------- [ A B B Y ] don't hate me because i'm fabulous.
