FAIRIES IN GENERAL

Originally, fairies, or the People, as they call themselves, lived on the Earth [opposed to in at as they do now] beside humans. Ten thousand ago, the battle Tailette occured, a great war for Ireland: the most magical place in the world. The People, being peaceful in nature and more significantly, outnumbered, were forced to retreat and moved below the Earth's crust. The large difference between the number of fairies and people is because female fairies can only have children every 20 years. As well, to have twins is extremely rare.

In some ways, the fairies have benefitted from living away from humans, in secret. They are free from corruption, destruction and all the filth that humans live in. Their environmental awareness and technology is far more advanced than that of humans, as they have the advantage of magic (which is essentially a form of energy and the ability to manipulate energy.)

Fairies can live up to a couple of centuries and are roughly a metre tall (this varies between races though.) Like all animals, fairies have their own different species which vary in appearance, size and intelligence.

Centaurs

Centaurs are larger than the average fairy (the only fairy species larger than them is the troll) and resemble a half-human and half-horse creature. They have the head and torso of a human and body and legs of a horse, as well as a set of horns on their head. They have a reputation for being highly intelligent and kind but vain and, not to mention, paranoid. Many centaurs work in the technology sector. Their closest relatives are the unicorn.

Demons

Unlike the rest of the People, the 8th Family (demons) did not retreat underground. Instead, the warlocks tried to transport Hybras elsewhere but were unsucessful. What they had ended up doing was transporting Hybras to an unstable purgatory environment.

All young demons (imps) start off having magic but when they begin to experience more and more bloodlust they loose whatever magic [in other words, they warp] they have and become demons. The imps who do not warp become warlocks.

Warlocks have great magical power, equal to that of most of other fairies and perhaps more. They have the gift of tongues, mesmerisation, but one magical trait that is only known to warlocks is petrifying wood.

Demons, on the other hand, have no magic whatsoever although they are very strong. They enjoy decimation and will kill their own if they are very hungry. They have thick skin, horns protruding from their head and sharp claws.

Demons, warlocks & imps are all descendants of primodrial microorganisms of lunar soil from Hybras.

Dwarves

At a first glance, a dwarf is merely just a harmless plump, short fairy who is exceedingly hairy. In terms of magical powers they are harmless but on a closer look, harmless is out of the picture as one will notice that they have large tombstone-like teeth which can crumble hard rock not to mention bones and if one observes a dwarf long enough they will find out that dwarves have unhingable jaws and very strong (and smelly) flatulence. Dwarves are historically minors so their bodies are made to be underground and mining. They are very sensitive to sunlight and must wear specially made protection to prevent their skin from peeling off.

Another interesting characteristic of dwarves is that their hairs act like sensors which can aid them in finding their direction when they're in the tunnels. When plucked, their beardhair will straighten and become very hard. Their spit also will harden once exposed to air after a few minutes become much like cement. Dwarves also very adaptable to dry areas, as when they are dehydrated, all the pores in their body will expand to suck the moisture from things around them.

In cosmetic surgery in the fairy world, using the skin of dwarf buttocks has become increasing popular as it is extremely soft.

Elves

Goblins

The second stupidest of fairykind: their IQs are not much higher than those of stinkworms. Seeing that they're not very smart, they are also very rash creatures. They have leathery, purple skin much like a reptiles and large yellow lidless eyes. One of their infamous habits is licking their eyeballs which disgusts many other fairies. They have one magical ability, which is to conjure fire which Foaly once commented on: "Goblins. Evolution's little joke. Pick the dumbest creatures on the planet and give them the ability to conjure fire." From the outside, Goblins are completely flameproof although their insides are not.

Goblins also do not have a reputation for being good simaritans at all as most of them are associated with dark buisness such as the goblin gang, B'wa Kell.

Gremlins

Sprites

To say the least, male sprites think they are "God's green-skinned gift to females." They naturally have their own wings, which happen to be their largest organs, containing some major blood vessels. Sprites are usually quite cheery with smile extending all the way to their pointy ears but upon something so horrid as rejection they can be quite grave (but not for too long.) They absolutely love to fly above anything else and have average intelligence.
