If it was, 10x as many people would want a Wii. Although Nintendo has reconfirmed that it will be out in '07. Probably late November/early December for the Christmas rush.

Anyway, when this game comes out I will continue to use Fox and Marth, maybe Pit or Metaknight if their good enough.

worst case scenario, u have the sense of security knowing ull get it the first day. best case scenario, u get smash bros. brawl 6 months earlier than u would otherwise.

conclusion: no harm preordering a game u 'will' buy and u know 'will' be in demand
