Laser Challenge Team Force is by far the most popular and most common thing to find for Laser Challenge equipment. It was the first of its kind to be released in the mid-90's and even with at least 5 other variations of it now out there, this is still the dependable line that you know as "Hey thats a Laser Challenge... ...thingy!"

This equipment features the basics of any Laser Challenge equipment: Separate Vest and Gun (no cord attaching them), Reset and Arm Functions on the gun, and a slot on the back side of the vest to plug a back vest in. They have a flat gray appearance with light blue buttons and red lights. So far, they're still the most dependable units out thee. The set that I got back in '96 is still working fine, every part of it. If you're wondering if you have this equipment, look at the product for a gray seal that says "LC" and is surrounded by "Laser Challenge" going in a circle around it. Thats the official seal for the original gear.

These things are dependable. Sure, the guns may beep, but they'll always fire their six shot magazine as fast or as slowly as you want. Theoretically, if you're reloading fast enough and firing fast enough, you've got a semi automatic in your hands.

Sets like the Laser Challenge Team Force have been reproduced and changed slightly through the years, but don't be fooled. If you think you're getting the old-school gun and its brand new, you've got a different product. These things have been out of production for awhile.

This series featured another gun other than the standard pistol. It was a Machine Gun Rifle with 25 rounds in its magazine. With a longer range, faster rate of fire, and larger magazine, this weapon was the best of its time. Its still the weapon of choice for many Laser Challenge participants, especially with team leaders. These unfortunately can fire TOO fast sometimes and reset vests. However, in the hands of a skilled individual, they can be accurate and deadly.

Laser Challenge Team Force also released the basic pistol and vest in two different colors for a limited run. They are extremely hard to find and most stores that were selling LC at the time didn't even carry them. These sets came in Yellow, and even harder to find, Red. The OLCA owns 2 sets of the Red LC gear. However, most of our Armory is the original Gray vests and guns.

Overall
They are compatible with every system I've ever seen, although they won't recognize any new features like Max Blast from V2 or Disarm from Neutralizer. Still, they're my favorite line to work with as far as maintenance goes. They are simple, they work well, and the last a long time. Granted they don't have the best range or features and they beep, but they have never failed me. The vests serve as the backbone of the OLCA's supply. They are slowly starting to fail, one by one, but they're a freaking decade old! The pistols are easily the most out-classed weapons in the game, but nonetheless, we have many of them. This gear continues to be a solid set!
