This is the Laser Challenge Radar Extreme gear made by ToyMaxx. They are a rare item these days and most people who own this gear hold onto it. You could argue that their systems are a "step down" from the Laser Challenge V2 gear, but for groups that want the same features as V2 without the hassle of ELS, Radar Extreme is the way to go!

Features:
Radar Extreme gear has many features. One of these features is the gimmick that radar extreme got its name from: radar. Utilizing a "teams" function, players could know when they were "locked on" to their target just by aiming. Doing this would cause the wearer of the vest to know when they were in danger and, thus, know before they were attacked. In order for this to work, players need to set up their vests to be configured to Team A or Team B. Vests and guns that aren't set up to be team specific will not work on either Team A or Team B vests. Because of this, any gear that can't support teams functions cannot utilize this "radar" feature. Recently, Radar Extreme Technology was programmed into the LC P.R.O. gear. A few other lines of Laser Challenge gear have teams functions (Gotcha Extreme, Team Force 250) but unless everyone playing is using Teams Functions, its a useless feature.

Other features include complete compatibility with the Max Blast. Radar Extreme guns can fire Max Blast Shots and their vests can register them as a 3 shot hit (unlike other gear that just reset). Radar Extreme guns can also switch into a "No sound" function for stealthy attacks. They are accurate up to about 400 feet. The Radar Extreme Vest is especially unique. The button to activate a "Blast shield" is the transparent red signal for when you get hit. This is MUCH easier to activate than finding that little tiny button on the V2 Vest! Another good point to make is that even though the Radar Extreme Vest has all the features of V2 vest, it doesn't take in hits quite as fast as the V2 does. You'll recall that V2 vests take in hits twice as fast as V1 vests. The Radar Extreme vests actually land right in the middle. They take hits between the V1 and V2 speeds, which is a very nice feature! Certainly, the most impressive feature of this Radar Extreme vest is that even though its a single front vest, it can still use a V1 Back sensor! The Back sensor automatically acts like a Radar Extreme vest, as it can accept Max Blasts correctly as well as perform the Blast Shield feature. I was impressed with this feature!

If theres anything holding the Radar Extreme equipment back, its two design flaws. The guns have a large battery pack at the bottom of the handle making users with large hands have a cramped grip. The vests have straps much like the V1 gear, but they are generally not long enough for larger players.

Overall:
The Radar Extreme sets are rare, and for good reason! These weapons and vests are excellent additions to your arsenal! They compliment V2 weapons well and incorporate old V1 equipment for even more versatility! Even if you're not using the teams function, this gear is excellent to use! If you find stuff like this, nab it before someone else does! Theres a reason why its just as rare as V2 gear.
