Ex-D Ver OLCA, A facelift for a dated waepon

Most of you are familiar with the Ex-D but just don't know it. We normally call it "The Rifle" or "The Machine Gun". Still not ringing a bell? How bout the weapon of choice for Eleri at'Xalien or Panzer? Yeah... those things. I have one in my inventory but too many times has it been the "oh crap" weapon. Its true: unmodified, the Ex-D is a loud, bright, easily trackable weapon. It is one of the most visable weapons out there without modifications.

So I've decided to take a project for it under my wing. This Weapon will probably be used in the next battle since its modifications were simple.

The New Ex-D Ver. OLCA features a new low-vis paintjob. Dark Green for the body, SAC Bomber green buttons, a custom "LC" insignia painted onto the light shell, and SAC Bomber Tan grips. The custom paint over the light shell makes the weapon's bright lights more subdued and more low-visibility. This weapon has also been fitted with sound dampening buffers.

I think this gun is unlucky. Since it's repaint, both Kamodlin and Bryguy have taken tumbles with it. The gun is pretty beat up from being stored and from rugged gameplay use.

With the only resets during combat being traced back to the Ex-D rifles, the OLCA Armory has retired it's custom Ex-D from use. Eleri at'Xalien and Panzer still use their Ex-D rifles but in the past few games, they have been using Ultrawide Blasters instead. With these weapons seemingly getting phased out, we might be able to eliminate resets during combat altogether, but also lose what was an icon of power.

However, there is hope for this weapon! In the future, if OLCA members ever wish to have "LC Battles Only", which would mean only using the original Laser Challenge gear, this weapon, along with its Ex-D brothers, would be used once again!

Still, not having it around in normal combat is tough to stomach... but we'll live.
