This is the "Electonic Robo Attack" set by Jakks Pacific for Laser Challenge. This is nothing new to the LC line though, as one glance at the "Electronic Robot" and you'll be calling it a BART from the original Laser Challenge lineup in 1996. Technically, it's the Shootback Bart (the original BART couldn't fire at it's opponents) but it's a BART nonetheless. As usual, Jakks Pacific decided to take advantage of the stuff that ToyMax had already made and re-release it with a few twists. This set's twist? It came with an unusual looking gun. The weapon included in this set has a sensor tied to it that can be attached to the player via a clip on the backside. By clicking inward on the sensor, you can even get Blast Shields to activate. Strangely enough, even though this set has Blast Shields, it doesn't have the ability to fire Max Blasts. To add to the oddity of this weapon, it uses sounds from the Radar Extreme line but only has single-shot capabilities with a 10 round clip. It does, however, have 3 teams settings that are compatible with other teams settings on both ToyMax and Jakks Pacific sets. If you don't want to use the vest, you can roll up the cord, stuff it in a storage space on the back side of the gun, and clip it on top. A button on the back of the sensor is pressed when it's attached to the top and it disables the sensor. Another strange fact about the gun is that it runs off 3 AAA batteries as opposed to the traditional AA batteries that all other sets have run off of.

The Electronic Robot functions the same as any BART droid before it. By shooting a reset signal at it, the droid comes to life, running around frantically on the ground shooting at you and then spinning around to be hit. It has "Beginner" and "Expert" modes of difficulty and shuts down after 10 hits have been landed on it.

Other than the strange new weapon that comes with it, this set is nothing new. The Electronic Robot is just a recolored Shootback B.A.R.T. droid and the gun has that classic Jakks Pacific cord running to a sensor. Ergonomically, the new gun has a terrible design that even small hands would have trouble with. To make matters worse, the reload is on the "wrong" side of the gun, so two handed operation is pretty much a must. Unless you're in the market for a BART droid and one of the strangest guns made for the LC line to date, don't bother with this set.
