great times, great people...
So glad I found the website and message board. Has brought back a flood of good memories.
Currently living in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia working with Aramco (Construction QA). Married 20 years (Stephanie) and have three wonderful kids - Ben (11th grade), Ginny (9th grade) and Lizzie (6th grade). Ben attends LAS in Leysin, CH (almost has his Eagle rank). The girls are in Aramco schools, here with us.
After leaving Blacksburg worked as an industrial electrical designer (job shopper) all over the place (including hometown Martinsville). In '86 married and shifted to IBM-Manassas.
After a few years in NoVa, we returned to Blacksburg and in '91 I finished the BSEE started in fall of '76 (15 years, maybe a record?).
We did 10 years with Bechtel in Maryland and India, then shifted to Aramco and the oil and sand dunes of Saudi Arabia.
I volunteer with Boy Scouts in Dhahran and dabble in photography. Stephanie is the performer in the family - an alto with the fellowship choral groups here.
Greetings to Kit and all of the lighting and audio techs out there (you too Bob).
