As the sun casted it's typical spring sunlight over the windows, and into the interior of the castle, Eva couldn't help but want to be out in it. Ok, so a Slytherin who enjoyed the sun? Yeah, a little odd maybe, but Eva could think of a lot odder things.

Like today for instants, she was actually thinking about her best friend, Gerard...Why? Well, it's not like Eva was going to tell anyone was it? Actually, it was mostly because she hadn't seen him in a while, and was starting to worry about him, almost like an older sister.

Clearing her mind, Eva walked out into the courtyard, which was empty, much to her relief. Smiling, she set her bag down under a tree, and then settled herself down. Grabbing her newest read, she started flipping through the pages and reading..

Gerard chuckled to himself as he came darting out of the girls toilets on the 2nd floor, he'd only gone in to say 'hello' to Myrtle, it wasn't his fault she'd taken offence when he said she was ugly, and it wasn't his fault when she'd started to flood the toilet in a fit of anger, honestly she had to be the most sensitvie ghost around, surely she could see that Gerard was only kidding.

But what was done was done, now Gerard had to make his getaway, sorry, he had to get some fresh air, the castle was very constricing and besides, Gerard hadn't been outside to just get 'fresgh air' in a while, he might even write a little.

Gerard was a avid writer, he wrote stories and poems amougst other things, and, even if he did sau so himself, he was good at it! Making his way down to the Entrance Hall Gerard wondered where on the Hogwarts grounds he should go. I haven't been to the Courtyard in a while. He thought to himself as he reached the large front doors of the castle, pulling them open Gerard slipped through the gap into the sunshine outside.

He flinched slightly as the sudden light hurt his eyes but he quickly got over it, pausing to shift the weight of his school bag Gerard continued forward, to where the couryard was.

He got there in quick time and walked into the shaded area, looking around he spotted his best friend Eva, he grinned as he saw her and ran over to her "Hey," He said happily, he was always happy around Eva, even when she was ina bad mood or something she never failed to make him feel overjoyed, and even more so right now since he hadn't seen her in a while.

It seemed that trying to read today would be a failed cause, so Eva shut the book and put it back in her bag. Closing her eyes for a minute, she just let herself relaxe for a second.

The sound of footsteps made her sigh inwardly, she didn't want to put up with people right now. Especially since it was most likely a prefect come over to tell her off for being her or something. Geez, they all had a vendetta out on her, and to hell if she knew why.

"Hey,"

As the voice hit her ears, and she sat up. It was Gerard! Atlest if someone was to talk to her, it could be someone she didn't mind. Smiling, she sat up and smiled, one of the few real smiles she ever gave. She then spoke, "He there stranger, what are you up to?" She asked him as she moved her bag aside to let him sit down. "Long time no see, what have you been up too?" She asked him.

Gerard grinned again at Eva looked up at him and smiled, he sat down beside her and gave her a cheeky smile "Oh the usual," He said brightly. "Getting detentions, teasing poor Myrtle so she'll flood the girls toilets," He continued happily, counting off the countless jokes or pranks he'd commited in the last few weeks.

He sighed lightly and pulled his bag off his back, dumping it at his feet and looking down at it, he ran a hand through his hair before looking back up at Eva "What about you?" He asked quietly, a slight smile on his lips.

Eva laughed as her friend resited all his latest doings. That was one of the things she loved about him, he always had something going on, that no one would ever thing of doing. Rolling her eyes she looked at him before saying, "Now, now Gerard, how do you ever expect to make anything of yourself if you don't behave?" She asked him in a joking voice.

Eva wasn't really one to talk about behaving, after all she had been kicked out of Beauxbaton in her first year, and she'd been in and out of detention for the better part of the last 5 years...Plus of course there was the issues with her family...No, the list was too extensive, and the short story was, she should be speaking.

"What about you?"

Eva thought for a moment before speaking, "Oh, the same old same. School work, school work, oh! And School work." She said shaking her head. She hadn't had much time to do anything lately, what a shame. She sighed before continuing, "Mom sent me a letter the other day though, she wants me to go home again for christmas. Last time though, it was a bit of a disaster." She said. Why couldn't her mother just leave her alone? After all, hadn't she made it clear that she didn't want much to do with them??

"Now, now Gerard, how do you ever expect to make anything of yourself if you don't behave?"
Gerard smirked as Eva's comment, he had to, he let his smirk change to a grin though as he shrugged "Behaving is boring," He said in a childish voice as he tucked a stand of hair behind his ear.

"Oh, the same old same. School work, school work, oh! And School work."
Ah yes, dear olf shcool work, there was something he hadn't done in a while, well of course he'd done it, he couldn't exactly get away with not doing it but it was all half-arsed, he couldn't waste time doing work when there was better stuff to be doing, his little fun with Myrtle eariler was a perfect example, so it wasn't as productive as writing out boring essays but it was still fun, and Gerard was all about the fun factor.

Gerard smiled slightly as Eva continued "If you don't want to go, then don't." He said, moving his eyes away from Eva's face to look directly in front of him, personally he had a rather good relationship with his family, but in his past five years as being at Hogwarts he had not onve been back home for the Chirstmas holidays, why would he? He got to spend ages with his family at summer anyway, as far as Gerard was concered, he never spent more time with his famly than he had to.

Eva smiled at Gerards replie, it was true though, behaving did tend to get boaring after awhile didn't it? Eva knew that all to well, even if she hadn't been really bad lately...Oh well, that was the way the way the cookie crumbled isn't it?

"If you don't want to go, then don't."

Eva rolled her eyes before she spoke again, "Do you honestly think I'd go?" she asked him as she looked over at him. She knew he had a much better relationship with his parents then she did, and for that, she was a bit jelous of him.

She sighed slightly, then turned the subject around, "So, how bad is the bathroom now?" She asked him, "Are we going to be able to get down the hall anytime soon?" She asked him with a grin.

"Do you honestly think I'd go?"
Gerard shook his head "Of course I don't, just trying to offer some support," He said with a cheesy grin.

He ran a hand through his hair and grinned wickedly "Well, she was only about halfway through turning all the sinks on and stuff when I left," He said as he mentally trying to estimate how flooded the bathroom would be by now. "My bet is that it's almost fully flooded, heres hoping we wont be able to get down the hall for a while," He said, crossing his fingers for effect.

"Of course I don't, just trying to offer some support,"

Eva nodded slightly, yeah she understood, she'd just been a bit moody lately, nothing big, or out of the ordinary when you thought about it. Moving a piece of her dark hair out of her face she couldn't help but think on the subject a bit. Thankfull, Gerard started speaking before she could really think about it.

"Well, she was only about halfway through turning all the sinks on and stuff when I left,"
"My bet is that it's almost fully flooded, heres hoping we wont be able to get down the hall for a while,"

Eva shook her head and laughed slightly, this could be a good thing, or a bad thing, depending on how you looked at it. "Well now, if your bet turns out right, we may not have classes in the area for awhile....Especially if the classrooms flood as well." She said with a grin. She wasn't usually one for laughing, or grinning or anything like that, but today seemed to be different.
