Ok the story isn't really what you'd expect from a revenge story, for some reason i cant explain, play it.! :P
GAMEPLAY 7/10:
Hmm when I first played this I didn't like the controlls. The conbat is somewhat fun but it gets repetitive and fast. The camera views never bothered me, thats a + in my book! I dont feel the need to explain anymore.
GRAPHICS 9/10:
In terms of graphics, fable is not the best, nothing to take you breath away, but highly detailed. Im very amazed how things blend together. You'll barley take a glance at fables chacter models and its environments. Sure you will look at them every once and a while (they are on the screen the whole thing!) Overall the graphic are inbetween middle and great.
SOUND/MUSIC 8/10:
The music and environmental noises are annoying. The music sometimes will blend in and become unnoticed. The voice acting is not horrible but not top notch. I really want to kill the children...bad. And then there are the other sounds, like the Heroes voices (which are usually okay, but some don't match his regular voice), weapons being drawn (a great hammer sounding like a sword? What?), among a few other things. Other than that, the sound is not superb, but is most definitely not a downfall.
OVERALL 8/10:
Disappointing, yes, but I still find myself addicted to what it does offer. It's actually quite linear. You have no large open areas to explore, just long, windy paths that lead you down the same, nostalgic roads. But the gameplay is solid, and making you character look good has never been funner! This game is not a jaw dropper so i'll say just rent it worth its 5-6 doller goodness.
