NO, THIS IS NOT A MANGA!
Kafka on the Shore...A song that signals dread in the heart of the woman who wrote it. It's time for an adventure on Kafka's 15th birthday. Time to run away from home. ollow his adventures and those of the strange old man Nakata and how their lives are intertwined. Life is never as simple as you want it to be, no matter how you are in life: smart or dumb, rich or poor.
Strange events in the book worth being noted: Cats talk, souls are collected, Colonel Sanders shows up and no one is as they first appear to be. Everyone has secrets, as well. Some more extreme than others. Some concieled by the government.
Characters: Kafka: the toughest 15 year old ever. Nakata: the dumb old man who can't read Oshima: a man with a rather odd secret, very smart Miss Saeki: a woman with a troubled past
Rating: OMFG READ THIS!!!! 5 outa five!!!!!!!!!! *****
